Saw a video on Tennis dot com earlier today where four analysts said the first to challenge Serena would be Osaka or Wozniacki. Though one did say that Serena herself is always her biggest opponent. He was the only one that was right. But I said the moment I saw it, I went, "Well now they've basically cursed her into struggling today against Wang." I knew it. It's surprising. But not entirely surprising. I found it more surprising that Serena beat her so handily at the US Open. I've followed Wand Qiang. And she's had some success. She's ranked in the top 30 for a reason. She has good wins and good runs in Asia. Including back to back semis in at Wuhan and Beijing in .... 2017 or 2018.

Very good from Wang to force the tiebreak. We'll see if she can hang on or if Serena will pull out the set.
