Totally agreed!

Of course it's true. I'm not going to go back and forth picking any player apart and their strengths and weaknesses. To what end goal? At the conclusion each person will continue to hold their same opinion and the booby prize will be time wasted on nonsense. No player is perfect, and never will be. Period.

Yep, I can't understand why Roger having so good serve like he has then doesn't go too often to the net, maybe he doesn't have too much confidence to do it

Hey what about Nadal or Djokovic when they've reached the mid-30's. Their games involve a lot more physicality and retrieving. But when they've aged will they be able to play that same game or will they adapt to shorter points?

^I think the problem is that many people have a confused understanding of top level tennis. There's volleying as a tactic, something Rafa does quite a bit, and Novak has been working on doing. And then there's serve and volleying as a strategy. Something that Zverev did effectively against Murray, and Federer does regularly during matches. Federer is unusual because he really is that player who could serve and volley all the time, but is complete enough and has the tennis IQ to mix and match during match play. I think Murray could do that as well, but as much as people say he has a high tennis IQ, he seriously under-utilises his toolkit

Nadal v. Monfils...let's go. More mature Monfils these days, but also a better Rafa. I think Gael will challenge for 2 sets.

Nadal had chances to put Monfils away before he woke up in this set. He'd better be more cutthroat and careful here on out.

The name Zverev has been bandied around a bit.
:lulz2: Ok, I've followed the scores enough to get that. And the thread to know something about what's going on. But Misha Z...wtf? Happy Rafa beat the other one, though.

I think Rafa will take this in straights.
It's looking like that. I really didn't think think Monfils would be a trouble for Rafa, even with the new maturity in his approach, but he doesn't appear to have any strategy.
