Good for Seppi, I watched the beginning of that match and fell asleep soon. Good on Chung for winning the 1st set, but he is now a break down in the 2nd, I suspect Grigor woke up.

How are people in the USA/Canada doing sleepwise? :lol6:

We don't have any problem to watch the matches at day time over there but the ones playing in the evening then it's 3am eastern time, I can't watch them and less working the next day :-(

Yeah, but I am feeling sleepy already, as I had to get up early the last few mornings. Rafa is playing around 4:30-5. You can go to sleep now and wake up early.;-):

Dimitrov wins set #2. Ferrer lost the 1st set against an unknown American Escobedo. Simon is up 2:0 on Dutra Silva from Brazil.

I don't think so, unfortunately I use to go to the bed around 12, I can't fall sleep earlier so I will miss it

Very interesting match between Cibulkova and Hsieh 6-4 and now they are playing the tie break in the second set 7-7
Oops ! I should have posted on the women's thread

Thanks for that, Billie. I can never seem to do the match on the Aussie clock. I've indulged too many matches too soon, and I'm tired already. Doesn't bode well for week 2. :banghead::sleep2::sick:

Holy Toledo. 6 break chances for Istomin v. Djokovic, and we're still in the 1st game. Novak holds his arms up in victory as he finally wins the first game of the match, some 16 minutes in. I'm guessing Istomin won't last, at this rate.

I don't know what the record is for longest first set, but this has to be up there...to Istomin, in some 85 minutes.

Definitely the best I've ever seen Isromin play but Novak blew tons of chances to win that set.

You're so right, Margaret. We moan on and on for a few weeks, calling ourselves Aussie Open vampires, etc. I hope you're enjoying it! Will you go to any matches?

Novak is just waiting for Istomin to miss and the latter isn't obliging much.

I've never seen Istomin playing so well besides his serve is working well though his movements are not the best
