Even though Novak hasnt put a foot wrong in this match,I have been impressed with Verdasco and his level of play in this match

He's great to watch, just a little error prone (already plus 40 ufe) and a total headcase.

He has never been able to re-capture that form he had at the AO in 2009 when he played a amazing match against Rafa, one of the best matches I have seen live at Rod Laver Arena.

Verdasco why do you persist with half volleys? which are a low percentage shot?

Nice moment on court as Jim Courier interviews Novak

It is Novak's mum's birthday and he gets the crowd at Rod Laver Arena to sing 'Happy Birthday to his Mother'.....

Singing "Happy Birthday"? That's when you call Azarenka.

Seriously Ferrer you were serving for the match against Simon 5-4 and get broken and lost the 3rd set 7-5? come on Focus,I have you as my Dark Horse and I need all the extra points I can get,by the way you get to play Nishikori if you win this match.

I would be disappointed if Kei can't beat Ferrer at this point.

Lol Ferrer just served for the match for the third time and got broken again. 5-5 in the fourth.

Say goodbye to Isner. Muller won: 7-6(4), 7-6(6), 6-4

Yeah, was thinking Isner would lose that one alright. Glad to see Müller doing so well. He's a pretty tough opponent for anyone when he's serving and volleying well.

Verdasco is wearing a heart rate monitor,Jim Courier says it is a first,Lleyton Hewitt a co-commentator on the match says he has never seen a player wearing a heart rate monitor.

Not sure but I'm guessing before he quit playing Mardy Fish was also wearing one. Still hasn't officially retired but he clearly is retired at this stage. He was one of the most entertaining American players to watch and missed by many.
