This time Simon played a nice and short match, he could meet Nole in next round

So Herbert was competitive against his countryman Tsonga. Really nice match from the young man and for those of you who enjoy someone who can serve and volley well, you'll like him. He just got out muscled.

Kyrgios is disgusting... his attitude and comportment on court is deplorable. Berdych clinches the first set with an excellent backhand down the line winner.

Is Kyrgios still on probation? :cover

6-3, 6-3 Berdych up. Not sure what the heck Kyrgios was going on about, but I'm glad he wasn't able to distract Tomas.

I will be rooting for Berdych when he faces Roger, because I don't want to see a thrashing by a certain someone in the semifinal. His ground game is so off, I am in disbelief. It will undoubtedly be a night session so why even bother? :(

Simon winning very easy, Bautisa, Roger, Novak and Berdychwith a little more work.
I think to reach the final more open than ever, we'll see more than one surprise :popcorn

I saw some parts of that match. I am impressed with Herbert. I did not know what to expect at first as I have not seen him play before. I think he has a good future.

Thanks for the lowlights. I can't even call them highlights. Roger played horrible - and still won, so good for Roger, but he's definitely going to need to find another gear if he plays Djokovic in he semis (that''s probably more like WHEN than "if"). Bad serving and 40 forehand errors against a guy like Dimitrov may not matter, but bad serving and 40 forehand errors against Nole is going to translate into a 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 beat down. Roger will be having a 2008 French Open flashback.

Also, whoever it was that said after Brisbane that Dimitrov looks "close" to figuring it out? One step up and 2 steps back. If he can't beat Roger when he's sick (Brisbane) or when he's playing crappy (last night), then he's not really that "close" to figuring anything out but how to get a ride to the airport for the next day.

Yeah, Roger looked pretty terrible. Gotta step it up next round. And agree 100% about Dimitrov. If he can't beat Roger playing like he did the last 2 times they played, then he probably never will.

Me too. The kid has heart. He's a competitor. Some technical work, more emphasis on playing singles and a little more muscle - he has a decent chance to punch top 20.
