Just a outstanding performance from Vika,who controlled the baseline,her return of serve was outstanding in this match,apart from her bhand which is her strongest shot,it was her fhand that really impressed me.Vika also came forward to the net as much as possible

Sad to see Caroline go out - she absolutely doesn't deserve this - but after a brilliant matchplay by Azarenka she had to give in. Not the first time we see Caroline have a tough draw but irritating to see again and again. This match looked like a semifinal - well whatever - I saw a high quality match and I like Vika as well so i survive. Here a nice photo of Vika:

Wow I am so happy to see Vika win. She's my favorite player on tour and its been a tough year watching her difficulties. I didn't expect her to be at this shape quite so soon. I'm glad she is. This just shows what a few confidence building wins can do for a real champion.

As for Caroline I'm really sad she had to face this match so early in a tournament. For this reason I think it's silly that there aren't some concessions made in seeding. Players who are that highly ranked should not be playing grand slam champions in the second round. Every player who is a top 10 player deserves some time to ease into the tournament against unseeded players.

I disagree, matchups regardless of when they take place are part if the sport. I don't like concessions or special seeding due to a player being sidelined because of injuries or personal issues, all of that is part of sport. As a player, you're suppose to be ready from round one, makes no difference if you play someone whom qualified via the quality or someone who is a former champ.

That's exactly what happened...Serena snapped out of whatever daze she was in and rolled the truck forward, put it in reverse and did the same.
