Let's be honest, Pironkova and Lisicki are not those players whom play wonderful tennis day in, day out. I'm not the least surprised both lost. I expect Halep to be out by 4 th round.

Well actually, thinking about it in hindsight, I think many of us, myself included, overestimated Pironkova's chances when you consider how many matches she played last week. She played 8 matches last week together with qualifiers on route to her first title and that surely took its toll. A lot more matches than any most of the other ladies out there played and her thigh was also bandaged. Hopefully she'll be fresh for the rest of the season, especially Wimbledon where she's had her best slam results.

From here on out I hope Stosur goes on to do well. She's had bad results here in the past and it'd be nice to see at least one local doing well here.
