Bouchard against Razzano--a match I would be happy to see (if I can stay awake).

Ana vs. Annika sounds dandy!
Samantha vs Pironkova sounds exciting!
Sabine vs. Monica is scary!
Yanina vs Alison is intriguing!

Belinda Bencic (Switzerland) is proving herself a game 16-year-old. After doing the deer-in-the-headlights in the first, and losing at love, she's giving Li a game in the 2nd. They're in a TB. Li had better get out of this in 2.

Great from Li to close it out in 2, but Bencic seems someone to keep track of.

Makarova took care of Falconi, she is awaiting the winner of Sabine/Minoca now, that match is tied a set a piece.

Serena is about to start her warm-up.

Following the expected script, Lisicki loses in a tournament early not named Wimbledon.

Kui, looks like the Brisbane winner has a better chance of winning this slam than Lisicki.

Leaving no-one but a shaky Angie in Li's quarter.

Serena looking good.

KumKum, the Kvitova Slayer, is gone.

I saw her match against Kvitova and thought she will last a while.

I hope Monica Puig beats Flavia Pennetta, but don't have a lot of confidence in that happening, Flavia will probably slice the youngster to death.

Hopefully. No love for Pennetta? I like her and prefer seeing the veterans progress. Her time is running out. Puig has years ahead of her.

I was about to come here and talk about how fit Sabine looks and about how far she could/should go when she got taken out by the new Bartoli (only in weirdness not talent). I couldn't even properly evaluate the match cause I was so distracted by Niculescu's serve, her forehand, her backhand and he grunting.

Happy Belated New Year everyone :)
