Reading some awful comments from Rafa's antis now is my turn to stay on their same level saying that I hope their favs don't win anything, I will enjoy a lot same like they do watching the 'shadow' of Rafa Nadal but like someone says: "every dog has it's day", yep and I will see that soon ;)

You are right Carol, every dog has it's day. But, it is not today. However, Dolg had his day on 16th June 2015 :lolz:

It happens. Good win for verdasco, he's been confident against Rafa the last few times. Rafa is unable to cope with big matches, that seems to be the case. Now he's looking like a 29 year old, with lots of miles on the clock and wear and tear in his brain and his game.

Nadal fans can say what they like about his H2H against Federer - but even when he had back problems in 2013, Roger was NOT this much of a headcase. I'm not a Nadal fan but I find it really odd the he lacks so much confidence and that his game has gone off its hinges so badly. I said for years that his style of play would eventually catch up with him and he'd never be at the top of the game as long as Roger...but I thought I was just talking ish because I don't like him. Now I'm starting to think I'm smarter than I even knew..

Also...gonna have to take back my prediction that he'd win a Slam this year. The way he played against Verdasco he's lucky he's only got about 2,200 points to defend before the French Open or else I'm not sure he'd even be in the Top 10 at the end of May when it starts.

We can't compare actors with athletes, two jobs completely different. For example I considerer Robert de Niro one of the best actors but only acting in dramas and not comedies, he always put the same faces, nothing different. Pacino has made different kind of movies but not like a Mohican or a bad butcher in 'Gangs of NY' or President but like a gangster in Godfather', a Bank thief in 'Dog Day afternoon' or a blind in 'Scent of a woman'. Come on, completely different characters and great performances all the way. I don't understand why someone can think he is not versatil, he was and the best :clap
In one word, many times it depends what kind of movie they choose or their agents. Sport is a very different story, it's like comparing the bacon with the speed :nono

He's not comparing them, he's using an analogy, and I think it's a brilliant one. You even noticed that de Niro is sh1te in comedies - maybe that's his fast indoor court? ;)

But really, the point is about players/actors flexibility and range, and how some actors stick to what they know and this works for them, where other actors will try different roles, maybe put on a posh British accent, etc.

Rafa isn't so narrow in his game, but it's about whether he wants to branch out and play Shakespeare right now. To be fair, I called him Prince Hamlet back in 2009 when he was so slow recovering his form after his injury break, so maybe he could play Shakespeare after all... :snicker
