I don't want to sound like underestimating the greek, but not sure if his weapons (serve and FH) will be enough to beat Novak on HC in RL arena if they meet. It's the greek's weak areas of the game that are most problematic. He makes too many UEs, has weak BH and ROS, all which Novak knows how to expose it. Tsitsipas hasn't beaten him in a while I think, he is a good match up for Novak. Then there is also a mental aspect which plays a big part too.

Still it is tennis and you never know. Tsitsipas might show in a final playing the best match of his life and then anything can happen. He will surely need to play on extremely high level to hurt Novak here. That means all things clicking for him, serve, FH, BH, minimum UEs. If the greek can sustain that level for the most part, then he has a chance and we get to see a really good close match in the final instead of a one way road.
I read a news article that stated if Novak wins the OzOpen, he will return to #1. If it’s correct, he will be hugely motivated. Sometimes that can result in his playing a level or two lower than his best.

Well my tennis coach after a match always presented me with my BS stat, he told me this was one of the most important stats in a tennis match, that stat I posted is very good, the only question I have with The Young Greek, is his mental game, remember he was up 2 sets to love at RG against Novak and let that slip away, my question is...is he a better player now mentally, he has a good overall game,it is the mental part I query.
Blowing a 2 set lead against today's top players ISN'T unusual . especially against Novak and Rafa..Even Thiem blown a big lead and has been on the recipient end when he won vs Sascha. Stefano's game may eventually get as potent as Stan's..

The Young Greek has a very beautiful game, he has all the tools and shots. His mind just goes walkabout but now Daddy is allowed to coach him during matches, it may the last piece of his puzzle.

I am sorry at this level getting coaching from Papa....that shows you how mentally weak he really is...He brought the Poo into his coaching box? I am yet to see any difference he has made

Did you also think adding ‘Poo’ was an odd choice, other than that he was Greek??

From what I read it was to help with the serve, Poo had a great serve, though I cannot see any change in The Young Greeks serve? can you? apparently The Poo has been good friends with the Tsitsipas family. The Poo said yesterday he believes The Young Greek can be the No 1 player, well he can he as to win the AO first

With 11 career titles and a rankings high of 8, “The Poo” seemed to be more interested in partying and womanizing. than he was in tennis. I guess that he was a family friend helped. It was a choice that (imo), never seemed to fit with what Tsitsipas needs.

Indeed, fast cars and women was the down fall of The Poo's career, shame, oh well that was his choice and he was also a bad trainer,
Apparently Papa and The Poo, The Young Greek get on well, so for now The Poo remains in his box.

A fun stat for my rising youngster Ben Shelton who plays another American today, Tommy Paul.
Ben is the first American man in 20 years to reach a Major QF before turning 21 ( Andy Roddick - 2003 Wimbledon)

This is the first time two American men have been in a major QF since 2007 (Roddick/Fish in Melbourne).

AP,
Dont tell me you are okay with this 'insane rule' of the ATP allowing players to be coached? at tournaments, I mean it was bad enough for the WTA
