Wowser what a passing fhand shot from the young Aussie Alexi his 1st BP.....Fritz you didnt have to serve a Ace okay
Another BP chance He Does It and breaks leading 2-1 in the 3rd set and he consolidates and leads 3-1, 3rd set, wins the 3rd set 64, really hitting his spots with his serve
Oi Oi Oi Alexei 2 sets to 1 over Fritz
Trainer out for Fritz, a problem with his right lower leg. (ankle().he is now receiving a MTO
Alexei with 3 UFE in a row, Brain Freezes, Fritz breaks and will serve for the 4th set 5-3
Alexei used his brain for a change and breaks straight back, back on serve in the 4th set
5 games all 4th set, Alexei will serve to force a t/break for the 4th set
6 games all, t/break for 4th set will commence
Too many UFE at crucial times in the t/break from Alexi, Fritz wins 76 (6)
2 sets all.... commencing 5th set now

I've noticed a trend this year. Just about everyone who played the week immediately before Aus and either won or was a finalist is already gone.

I have never been in favor of a player competing in a major a week before it starts., you could possibly pick up an injury, also having the week off to practice before a major, is where you can practice more to maybe fine tune things in your game, that is needed, also you arrive fresher, than coming straight from a tournament, with maybe one day to recover.

De Minaur (22) looked down and out against Mannarino - 2 sets and a break down, but breaks back to keep a glimmer of hope going.
