Been saying this for years! Nadal plays so passively at times allowing "nobodies," WC's, LL's, & "never-weres" to extend him to the limit! This has contributed to him breaking down when he was fully capable of being more aggressive to shorten his matches over the years! Such an idiot! "DOUBLE HIP surgery, here we come!"

Well, I had to put FAA at 1., for the Dude and the good of tennis. Then Tiafoe is a personal fave and from my town. And, well, Medvedev, because he's plausible, and endearing in a cranky way, so that left Sinner at 4. I don't think he's ready. Oh, and my real #5 is Murray. I could shuffle them, but you get the idea. Hey, after Rafa, Matteo and Alcaraz, who didn't even play, I'm scraping around.

I know the Djokovic fans are not happy about this sentiment, and most stay away because of it, until they come around to gloat, but it's fairly universal. People don't take to him. Naked ambition comes off as arrogance, no matter how much he tries to treacle it over with love gestures and granola catch-phrases.

You were correct brotha, you had your doubts about Rafa's lack of match play before this tournament. As for the American players, Rafa's record against American players is probably one of the greatest ever NEXT to Roger and Novak's H2H. It's just coming full circle and they're catching him on the backside of his career. I hope he gets well soon ( April 2023).
