Agreed. Even if he faces Novak in the final. From what I saw from Medvedev in the ATP Cup in Sydney,I feel he has a strong chance of winning the AO title.

At this stage, the tickets are sold and the TV rights secured. The absence of any player won’t affect the income….Does anyone know how a tournament determines whether it was a success? How does not having the top player translate to a reduction in financial gain? Assume ticket sales aren’t a factor since capacity is capped by the virus. It is all tv viewership? How is that measured?
Yes, TV rights are often secured years in advance, with multi-year contracts.Weren’t tv rights secured before Djoke was granted the “exemption”?
I think Rafa would be very happy to see Zverev in the QTRsI am still out on Zverev at GS level...though agree I favor him if he meets Rafa at QFs,
Absolutely. Certainly happier than seeing Novak, Medvedev, or even Tsitsipas.I think Rafa would be very happy to see Zverev in the QTRs

If they're going to take away his visa, it should happen today or tomorrow. That, however, may not make him leave the country, or prevent him playing some or all of the tournament. His expensive lawyers can block his expulsion. But I do agree that, if they're going to yank his visa, they should get on the stick, and do it in the next 48 hours. They're already looking weak on the issue. If they wait longer, Djokovic and his fancy-pants lawyers will really have made them look like chumps. The Event can still end up having a huge cross to bear if they make the wrong decision! Technically there is no right or wrong decision since this has gotten so big making international news all day long! Remember, Novak's the #1 player in the world! It was easy to give Renata the boot; not even a fight was put up! This stall isn't helping! Taking away his Visa in the 3rd round would end up looking even more punitive than kicking him out now! It could happen! I'm just shocked to see this happening so late in the game!
Good question. I’m trying to figure it out too.Novak's draw...what now?
I can’t find it. I guess we’ll hear later.Novak's draw...what now?
I'll wait for the last moment taking into account the time zone difference. It killed my enthusiasm too. Well, I'm pretty sure there will be good matches and Rafa is back, so that's a bonus as Novak is facing early ticket to home.I will do the draw challenge at some point this weekend, but have no excitement for it at this time. Not just because Djokovic might be out, but because he has taken all the air out of enthusiasm. Sorry to say.

I guess Kecmanovic will play LL and Rublev stays where he is, that will be a late withdrawal for Novak. Kecmanovic to at least R2 is a good bet
Let's not be too depressed to play the draw challenge. You're my stalwart. If Novak withdraws before Monday, Rublev takes his slot, if play has started on Monday, it will be a LLI'll wait for the last moment taking into account the time zone difference. Actually, I think I should restate this. Or we should check, as it could impact our draw challenge, and millions of dollars are at stake there. lol. Once the schedule is made for Monday, then they won't slot Rublev in...it will go to a LL. I think that's right. So time is running out.Let's not be too depressed to play the draw challenge. Sounds right. @don_fabio — I found the relevant section in the ITF rule book. Here’s a screenshot:Actually, I think I should restate this. Thnx. I think luck is smiling upon Kecmanovic since he hasn't won like 5 matches in last year or so. Remember he came looking like a solid young player a few years ago.Sounds right. @don_fabio — I found the relevant section in the ITF rule book. Here’s a screenshot:
