Hanfmann not playing at all poorly, but Rafa up 5-2.

Denis should go train with Mouratoglou. Find some consistency if at the very least find the court and learn when to pull the trigger.
He won that set, but until late in the set, anyway, I heard that his opponent had NO winners. That was fully Shapo self-impose damage. He really does need to learn control of those weapons.

Nadal's last two DTL shots were perfectly timed. to win the set.

Gilbert made the point that Rafa is not sliding on the HCs anymore. To protect the body, and most like the foot, as PMac said.

Alcaraz has been putting in the miles in the gym, and showing it off with the sleeveless.

Alcaraz is definitely a future slam winner.
Brad Gilbert thinks he can be in the Top 10 by the end of the year. I'd like to remind Gilbert that there are only 10 slots, but I like his enthusiasm.

He’s not that far off. I would say he will be close to picking people off in the Top 10 by the end of the year. He definitely is improving every tournament. Next year for sure everyone should fear him on their side of the draw.

Meanwhile, Shapovalov is struggling against a player I have never even heard of before now. How in the actual eff can someone struggle to be so consistent? For every three winners he can hit in a row, the next three can be errors.

And he just DF'd the TB away. Denis the menace. To himself.

PCB in a 5th set battle. He hit a crazy shot earlier. I'll have to find it.

Rafa through in straights, but far from routine. Good match by Hanfmann. I think just the match Rafa needed, for the confidence.
