MIlos is returning really well today, punishing Vasek's second serves, and even some firsts. And his best return gets him the first set. A screamer backhand down the line. First set to Milos, 6-1.

I hope Vasek can make it a match in the second set but he looks so gassed.

I think he is tired allright

That's that then. A very good title for Milos to win and a great way to start an important and potentially very profitable part of the year for him. He'll be glad to have rattled through the final in this fashion too so as to arrive in Canada in good nick.

Good job Milos! Very well played match point. Congrats.

Vasek has nothing to be embarrassed about. He played 4 hard sets yesterday, and his week was way tougher. He has a huge heart.

Milos is getting better. Return is getting better and he is figuring out how to use his assets better now. He is defending way better too, utilizing the slice on both sides.

Great week for Canadian tennis.

Vasek might have been either physically or even more mentally fatigued. But Milos looked too good today and whole this week and he is returning to # 6 ranking.

He won his first title ever in USA in San Jose, now his first 500 event in Washington. USA suits him well. I hope it will be the same at Flushing Meadows.

well done to milos. :)..his first title this year is it ?..an atp500 in front of a reasonably full house should give him a mental boost.

and 500 rank points is not to be sniffed at either, top 5 rank for milos is hoving into view pretty soon I think.

I watched the entire match from court=side, it was kinda expected, Milos had the better serve and the better return, that did the trick.

Congrads to Milos, great week.
