Amanda looks a bit tight,to be expected the first time meeting against Serena,who gets the early break and is putting her foot on the pedal.Serena with a double break after 6 mins played.Good service game from Amanda,maybe she has got rid of the nerves.
Serena leads 5-1.Amanda DFs and Serena takes the 1st set in just 21 minutes 61,a great performance from Serena.

I know but many Danes thought that a low ranked player would bea piece of cake - well as you know all inside the top 100 can beat eachother on a good day. If Pegula can play as she did against Caroline she can beat Serena.

Pegula shows no signs of nerves against Serena and breaks Serena and consolidates the break,she has a great bhand and has already produced some great BH down the line winners with ease against Serena.Serena gets on the board saving 3BPs,a hard fought service game from Serena to hold serve.
Serena with a couple of strong deep bhands breaks Pegula and we are back on serve in the 1st set, 3all,hopefully Serena can brush off the cobwebs,yes she does with a love service game leads 4-3.
Great offense from Serena on her 4BP she breaks and will serve for the 1st set 5-3....Pegula stil playing well,just dropped her level in her last service game.
Serena 6-3 1st set,slow start,was looking at going down a double break,but fought her way back to take the 1st set.

Serena W14 UFE 20 Jessica W12 UFE 16

Great returning game from Serena breaks to love and leads 2-1 in the 2nd set,consolidates the break with a Ace and leads 3-1
Pegula staying in touch with a better service game.Serena leads 3-2.Serena again with a strong love hold service game leads 4-2
Better depth of shot from Serena as this match progresses and great hands at the net,Serena leads 5-3
Serena has had 3 CH points,Pegula holding strong in her service game.Full credit to Pegula in her service game and she has forced Serena to serve for the championship and her first title in 3 years.Serena 5-4.

Serena Williams has donating all of her prize money to the Bush Fires in Australia,.......thank you Serena! also she has donated all her dresses and kits she has worn in the tournament this week.
