I didn't know he had trouble with it before 2008, but it has been more of a issue since then. But only 2013 does it seem to have been a long-term problem. Other than that he seems to have spasms every now and then, hopefully that's all this is. I don't think it's smart to play these matches, especially since they are best of 5, but he has to feel the weight of Switzerland on his shoulders...

It's certainly to his credit if this has been an ongoing frailty for longer than we all thought. Glad to see he's no whiner! :laydownlaughing

Wait, you actually believe this has been an ongoing issue since 2003? Oh my god...

Again, injuring a body part in 2003, then injuring it again in late 2008 DOES NOT MEAN it's an ongoing issue. They were 5 years apart and neither injury had long term effects. The only thing resembling a nagging injury Federer has had is his back issue since 2013, since he's obviously been struggling with it on a semi-regular basis.

-- Nadal has a laundry list of injuries since pretty much the day he set foot on a tennis court, many of which forced him to take time off >>>>> Skepticism.

-- Federer has had a few injuries here and there >>>>> CHRONIC CONDITION! WHAT A HERO FOR PERSEVERING! I ALMOST SHED A SINGLE TEAR TO PAY TRIBUTE!

God people are gullible.

Lol! Pot? Kettle?

I was being humorous!! Jeepers BS :D And please don't misquote me. My phrasing was ongoing frailty.. not ongoing issue.. As you well know I think this whole issue is largely irrelevant. If you get on the court to play... etc It's not only Rafa fans on this board that josh around
