Jaume Munar really hanging with F3. Fognini was just serving for it, got tight and broken back. 5-5 in the 3rd.

Brilliant job from Munar in that last 2 games. F3 did his usual go away, but Munar also gave him a couple of classic passes, and finished off with a winner. The Fog will have something to regret, if he ever does.

Ramos Viñolas took out Ferrer, but it looks like David isn't going to just coast through this last part of his career. He put up a good fight. Some fantastic passing shots. He had MPs in the 2nd set but ARV wasn't going to just hand it over, either. Pretty good match.

Munar had MPs in the 2nd set, and Pella had the crowd. Good showing by the young Spaniard, anyway.

Meanwhile Domi makes a mess of this SF. Finds himself in a dogfight decider against Lil Diego.

Saw bits of the match and Thiem is way bellow his usual level, at least back hand wise. He was slicing it 90% of the time, and missing basically every one he hit with top spin. Atrocious.

Is he recovered entirely? Maybe he was slicing because he is not 100% fit .

Looked more like a confidence/form thing, but it was so extreme that I would not be surprised if he was not 100%.

I remember the comments at the AO that he left to Europe after his elimination, to see a doctor, but can't remember what was the actual issue.
