Pulls out the set... he's looked a bit irritable through the set. I don't think he's really that happy with parts of his game.

I really like going to Stan's forehand with the slice, because he absolutely pulverizes the slice with his backhand.

Roger's volleying has been something else this tournament. Almost Nadal-like.

some commentator made a point the other day that when Pete Sampras won the 2002 US Open (his last GS) aged 31, he was ranked #17 then. It might be that Roger is destined to do the same at the AO. GO ROGER !!!

Roger navigating his service game very smartly without being super sharp from behind the baseline. A good example of his variety and all-court ability.

Yep. He's not playing that well and he knows it. Neither is Wawrinka to be honest. Missing a lot. Scrappy match with flashes of good tennis.

I'm always conflicted when I watch these two. Wish this was a final!

A super nervy break point by both players and Stan falters with the backhand. Roger 4-2 up. Absolutely huge.

He's a goner I think. Roger wins this second set, I expect he will win the third set by a similar score.

He's not even in vintage form and just like that he's almost 2 sets up against an elite opponent.
