Maybe this needs to be moved to another thread or rename with a different heading

It seems to be the problem with the verb. If we could just replace it with something like ignores that would be more fun, or simply Murray vs retirement.

Well, I would love to see a thread named "Murray announces vow of silence". Not that I have any hope that he would not break it, but it is a start...

Not sure how much of a fan she is. There were few fans before such as Sid, some other UK girl (I forgot her name). But, I don't think there are any from the current posters at least.
The great Murray fan you're thinking of is @Iona16. But Isabelle is a Murray fan, and so am I, for that matter. I don't think we're limited to one player, in any case.

I'm a big Sir Andy's fan and I'm happy about this thread's renaming

Sir Andy is struggling with that groin injury which was supposed to be minor. This is a setback for him in preparation for AO 20.

I'm an Andy Murray fan too but I know we get a lot of stick & I'm non-confrontational so keep most of my opinions to myself.

Are you actually an AM fan or just rooting for him for patriotic reasons?

I started just rooting for him for patriotic reasons but then got to know his story, felt for him for what he'd been through & how well he did to get through all he'd been through & be such a success regardless of that & then I got to like him for who he was so I guess you could say I started off patriotic then felt for him then got to like him.

You seem to think that people couldn't actually just be Murray fans. Some of us actively like him.

The only logic explanation to this fact is that you all are his mother.
