Is it just me, I feel Tauson's movement is hampered her hip maybe?
Mirra gets an early break in the 2nd set leads 3-1
Mirra consolidates the break and leads 4-1 2nd set

Congratulations to Mirra Andreeva she handled her first WTA100 like a pro that had been playing on the tour for sometime Mirra becomes the youngest women to win the title in Dubai
The 17 year old used her fitness and energy especially in the 2nd set, Clara to me was tired
Andreeva d Tauson 76(1) 61
Well done to Tauson who played some great tennis to get to her first WTA1000 final,

Mirra will become the new World No 9 when the new rankings come out on Monday, quite an achievement for the 17 year old, Mirra turns 18 in April, then she will be allowed to compete full time on the WTA tour

WELL lets have a nice picture of the youngest winner of a WTA 1000 event - nice she thanked herself - the inner demon can be hard to fight in that age ;)

I don't follow the WTA as closely as the ATP, so a question: Is Andreeva considered to have the potential to make the WTA "Big Three" a "Big Four?" (Along with Swiatek, Sabalenka, and Gauff). Is she good enough?

Mirra has great potential she is only 17 so she has been restricted to the amount of tournaments she can play
Mirra turns 18 in April so she can play the tour full time
I will wait to see how she handles the rest of the year as a full time.player

Tennis returns to the United States at the ATX Open Austin tournament, Texas.
With the Sunshne Double in IW and Miami just around the corner, the tournament is in a good spot in the calendar.
The WTA250 event is played from February 24 - March 2.
The WTA rule allowed only 1 Top Ten player to compete, that will be Jessica Pegula
Fans in Austin will have a chance to see Petra Kvitova, who was granted a wild card, her first tournament coming back from maternity leave
Diana Shnaider also received a wild card and is the No 2 seed
Ajla Tomljanoivc (AUS) also received a wild card.

" Our team has been informed that Venus Williams is not accepting the wild card this year.We wish Venus all the best and hope to see her back in Indian Wells in the future".

Quite frankly I do not like the new colours on the WTA Website, ( never liked the colour green as I was made to wear it all the years of my schooling ) my beef with this website has always been it has been hard to navigate, changing the colour dosent mean it will be easier no? lol!
The new WTA Brand Identity..........WTA Rally The World, is I guess forceful enough, time will tell
