I hope she isn't a one slam wonder either, but she's proven a bit fragile these days. Now she's allowed this coaching/relationship drama to cost her at least 2 years of great results in her prime.
I agree with the drama of the last 2 years that cost her, I just hope she can turn it around, we have seen at her best playing level what she can achieve

Help me!
Raducanu has a wild card for Dubai! this is just getting out of hand quite frankly, another first round loss on the cards
When I have time I am going back and count how many wild cards she has received from last year to now.

Penko won the 1st set, looking confident right now. Iga went to toilet as expected.

I cant see Iga getting out of this match now, unless Penko becomes a UFE machine, which we have seen in the past
Penko seems focused and is playing well and has broken Iga early in the 2nd set
I have often said 'the wind is a great leveler in tennis"

Me too. Iga's body language is not positive either, looking helpless out there. There is some mental scars here too. Penko is hitting DTL shots like it's nothing, Iga is outgunned here. Only way out for her out of this misery is if Penko self destructs, but it doesn't seem likely at all.

Penko is about to get a double break has 3 BPs, she is attacking the fhand of Iga hard and flat and getting results

Help Me Penko leading 4-0 this is going to leave huge mental scars for Iga and her H2H against Iga will be 5-0 just a bad match up
How do you solve the problem like Penko v Iga?
Bagel avoided Iga finally gets on the board in the 2nd set, Penko 4-1

Penko d Iga 63 61, the best foucsed match I have seen from Penko in some time, she awaits the winner of the Alexandrova v Anisimova match to play in the final
Well done Penko who now has a H2H 5-0 over Iga, the winning streak for Iga at Doha has come to a end

The 2nd SF between Alexandrova v Anisimova has begun, let see who can handled the windy conditions in this match up

She doesn't even realize she is directly responsible for her results. Not playing qualies is costing her because the WC will have her playing a tough seed from the get go w/ no rhythm or confidence. I mean how dense can you be. Taking WC's is not improving your play, but you won a slam by playing q's. Hello, maybe decline the WC one week and go back to playing q's and see what happens.

At this stage I really cant see her playing qualies, though I agree with you she should to get match play and not going out in first rounds when she receives a wild card, her play hasnt improved, even though she thinks it has.......you would think her many coaches would have advised her over the years, to start playing lower WTA tournaments for starters? this has not been the case.To me she has this 'entitlement attitude" which quite frankly I dislike!

I dont know if I ever seen a top 3 player have such a lopsided h2h vs a lower rank player ! Osta continues to live rent free inside of Iga's head. I didn't see the match

BTW Azarenka has a H2H 5-0 over Penko :) it is all about the match ups, Osta dosent give Iga any rhythm at all,

I have always had a 'soft spot' for Anisimova, love the way she strikes the ball, she has her ups and downs in her tennis career, losing her father/coach (died), for a little time Darren Cahill coached her, she won the 1st set 63 over Alexandrova

Anisimova d Alexandrova 63 63
Before last year Amanda had never reached a WTA1000 final
Now, she's reached 2 in the last 6 months
Her talent has always been there.
Anisimova will play Ostapenko tomorrow in the final at Doha!
