After his loss today in the QFs Ruud down to No 15 in the live rankings ( he was the defending champion in Barcelona), would be his lowest ranking since July 21.
If Rune defeats Khachanov in the SFs he will return to the Top Ten, actually No 9 in the ATP rankings

Apparently Tsistipas having 'back spams' in his match against Fils reason for his retirement, will have scans tomorrow, according to tournament director David Ferrer.

Well done, little Holger. The battle scars and shed blood versus your fellow Nordic warrior was worth it.

BTW in Monte Carlo last week Tsitsipas could not confirm to the media his partnership with Ivanisevic yet, ( maybe there are still details to be agreed upon)
His parents trying to insert themselves deep again, this could also be a reason.
Ivanisevic does not need Papa and Mama Tsitsipas screaming instructions to their son, like in Monte Carlo, Ivanisevic has to lay down strict instructions to his son regarding both parents before he starts to coach., he is the coach and they can watch their son in silence, clapping is allowed :)

Sorry, my friend, those two look like anything but a Nordic warrior... Ruud, maybe one day, but Rune? Tivoli park street boys at best!

:):)
Personally, I think you have those two mixed up. Ruud...maybe one day?? He's got no feel for the battle. At least Rune seems up for a challenge. I still have ambitions for Rune, but I'm selling on Ruud.

You are thinking in tennis terms (and, yes, I guess you are right). But I was following along MM's Nordic Warrior imagery.

Do you mean, "would I cast them in the movie?" :face-with-tears-of-joy: Personally, I've been enjoying @Jelenafan's illustrations for his fandom of young Holger.

Reading your answer I realized that I mixed up my responses. I was following along @Jelenafan's Nordic Warrior imagery. I was fighting my own battle here so I will cut me some slack this time...

First blood to Holger, who then consolidates.

EDIT: With a deft little drop shot, HR gets to set point, then takes the set, breaking KK again. His game went up a notch in the 2nd half of the set.

Going back and forth from both semis. I haven't seen Rune play in ages. He is playing pretty decently, actually.

I haven't watched any of Cerundolo v. Shelton...is it worth tuning in to?

Cerundolo was schooling Shelton in the first, but Shelton got the early break in the second. Still expect to Cerundolo to turn it around in this set.

Sloppy game from KK gives Rune the early break in Barcelona, in the 2nd.

As expected Cerúndolo gets the break back. But I have to say that if Shelton were willing to put up the effort, he could be a good clay courter. He has the ability to open up the court.
