In the QF match between Rune v Koepfer, Acapulco
Rune had a SP at 5-3, things got complicated but he played a flawless tie break
Rune broken for the match at 5-4, Koepfer returning well, 5 all 2nd set, 6 games all TB for the 2nd set just started

Ben got a lil lesson last night. He must improve his ROS. Didn't break the Casper serve and the Ghost isn't a big server

Good he needs a wake-up call because his ego is too inflated for someone who has not won anything of importance. He is so unlikeable and hope players really start giving him the lesson they gave Roddick.

Speaking of wake-up call...someone finally called out Rublev on his temper. I was vaguely watching. Rublev was about to go up a double break at 2-4, 30-40. Next time I looked over, it was 5-5, and Rublev was screaming. Then I saw him screaming at a lines person, then he was disqualified. Bublik tried to say he'd keep playing, but the umpire and tournament director weren't having it.

Yes..he has been out of control for a while.I hope he has anger management classes and they charge him with gross misconduct...hit him where it hurts the most $$$

Agree, I have been saying that since last year, he makes risky returns instead of getting the ball back into play and then building pressure in a return game, he shows no patience whatsoever.

Screaming in the face of umpires/lines people should be insta default, zero tolerance for abuse is the only way I personally feel. Quite frankly Rublev should be outed for a couple of tournaments, of course that wont happen as the ATP is 'weak as water' remember the Zverev incident when he was defaulted, and he came on his personal twitter and said he was 'sorry' and that was it? he should have been outed for more tournaments in my view. These players should attend anger management classes asap.

He was screaming in the guy's face, and it was abusive. He could pay a sports psychologist, or decide to stop being a jerk or whatever, but all the ATP can do is toss them out and fine them when they step over the line. Good on this particular tournament/ump for not tolerating it.

It was only a matter of time when Rublev 'lost it' I mean he self harms himself with his racquet, sports psychologist is a good idea, agree the tournament umpire made the right decision and did not tolerate it.
BTW In any work place getting abused in your face is just 'not acceptable' Period!

Ugo is straight ballin in Dubai. I hope he takes the title tomorrow.

Meddy's ranking will drop some more. He already skipped Rotterdam and Doha which he won last year, but now booted out in the SF here will hurt too.

And it could have been avoided. If he thought the baseline ball was out, why not challenge it?
