One of the matches I am looking forward to is Zverev v Berrettini
Matteo made the final at Wimbledon 2 years ago, and was on of the favorites last year, until COVID struck and he had to withdraw, his form went downhill and he came into Wimbledon this year unseeded, and with no form.He will face Zverev who holds a H2H 4-1, on HC and Clay, though I feel on grass Matteo is a better grass court player, and if his serve holds, especially in a TB, I feel he can win this match up.

Other interesting match ups,
Medvedev vs Fucsovics
Alcaraz v Jarry
Tiafoe v Dimitrov
You picked all the ones I was interested in. I think Jarry will give Carlos a good showing, maybe even take a set.
Medvedev v. the Hungarian (why whenever I read his name do I see “For fu*ks sake?) Anyway he’s been playing well and moves better on the grass than Daniil does.

Fucsovics would do well to get after Daniil’s forehand. He’ll get an error from that side. He holds serve. That should help him settle in on the big stage.

Fucsovics isn’t just serving and volleying well. He’s pretty much dominating the the baseline - Daniil is closer to the seats than he is to the chalk

First set Marton.

First break point of the match in 8th game of the match and predictably Carlos wins it. Wouldn’t it be nice if tennis wasn’t predictable? My butcher thinks so, and you should be careful when you choose disagree with your butcher. He said he doesn’t watch tennis because it’s like formula one.

I agree with him.

Not only because he wields a machete..

That set game was anything but predictable. At least Jarry is showing his metal

He is but soon as they reached the crux of it, the empire strikes back!

I’m glad, by the way. Same with the medvedev match. The tournament is predictable enough as it is without todays underdogs reaching week 2. There’s a contradiction in there, I know, but not really when you think about it..

I think Charlie will end up surrendering this set, but will come good for sets 3 & 4

I knew this would be a tricky match for Alcaraz, Jarry can be a handful on grass, he is really taking his game to Alcaraz at present
