Bad news another player withdraws from COVID, Roberto Bautista Agut,.
Bautista was in Berrettini, ( also out to COVID) already open section
Daniel Galan into R3, with a walkover, awaits Shapovalov or Nakashima

Time for mask mandate in locker rooms and player areas? what are the Wimbledon officials waiting for? 3 players withdrawn due to COVID? there maybe more in the coming days.Act Now For Goodness Sakes!

Despite being an American, I always like to applaud great performances. So happy for Richard Gasquet to get by McDonald and book a spot in the 3rd round. For those of you who have never had the opportunity to see him play live, his one handed backhand is a thing of beauty. Unfortunately for Richard, he came of age when Roger, Rafa, Novak were dominating. He still has 15 ATP titles to his name, so no one should feel bad for him. Still a remarkable career. What a shame there are no ranking points, Gasquet could have always used them. Regardless, he is up against Van de Zandschulp for a spot in the final 16. Go Richard!

I have seen Richard play live at Rome and RG and AO, he was a child prodigy, though never lived up to his potential in ways, a very good friend of Rafa.

I remember reading he was on the cover of French Tennis Magazine as a child, yet he is like 0-17 against Rafa. I have heard people refer to him as the "King of the ATP 250 events". Well, in my opinion, if you can win 15 ATP 250 events, you have had a successful career. There can only be one "Number 1". Richard, unfortunately was born during a very competitive era!

I had to put my glasses on to read Nick K stats lol! I thought they were a misprint

24 aces 49 winners 10 UFE in 3 sets of tennis. 62 63 61

Nick K said,

"I want to remind everyone I am pretty good"

He Did.

While it didn’t have the power or consistency of some others, I always thought Reechard’s 1 handed BH the “ fairest” of them all.

Watching the Young Greeks match against Aussie Thompson
Aussie Mark Philippoussis is in The Young Greeks box I dont know if he is a new member of the coaching team, though I have seen Mark at practice with The Young Greek

The Young Greek up to 2 sets to love....Should be a 'Popcorn match' against Nick K

The Special K's AO Doubles Champions have withdrawn from the doubles? maybe Nick K is serious going deep at this year's Wimbledon
They have been replaced by alternates Diego Hidalgo/ Christian Rodriguez

Reeshard or Richie is a fan fave around here. See, he even has a nickname. But he truly is the poster boy for OHBH underachiever. Even Dimi won a YEC.

What happens if someone who is an unvaccinated American travels to say Europe are they allowed back into the US when they arrive back? Or is it complicated?
You can't get back to the U
He also said in that presser that this is his best opportunity to win a GS. Listen, I never said the boy was dense, just disturbed.
Pegasus aka the young Greek will be the early match of to tournament. It's gonna be how well Nick can manage his nerves and this SW19 pressure of being the hyped matchup. I would think Nick's bag of tricks would be at a premium!
