Sometimes you have to lose a GS final in order to know how to win one.

Wow 4 games total won in her first major. That'll sting a bit until she reaches another slam final

Right, I can tell you rushing your shots, not moving your feet or having some semblance of a game plan is definitely the way to lose a final.
She will learn, she has a good head on her shoulders, still she needs another coach that can bring her to that level

You know when you're nervous the feet are the first thing to go. I just don't believe she has the confidence or thought process to move forward right now. That would require her to get those feet moving
That's why you come forward, to shorten the points and take control of the point to force your opponent to think about something else. Otherwise this is just a hitting session for Iga .Coco has excellent hands at the net and she feels comfortable in the front court. Just my opinion

It's a great opinion, I just don't think it was ever broached w/ her during their scouting and coaching sessions. I have to be honest, it wasn't a great game plan and I feel bad because they didn't really set her up for success. I mean Iga will be Iga. You have to start by controlling what you can on your side of the net.

Aww feel like hugging her,she looks so young like a 12yr old.
Me too but her Dad would probably kick my ass seeing a grown man hugging his young daughter. Maybe I would take the ass whipping by hugging her mom Chris. She is a lovely lady, That might be an ass whipping I could earn. Jajaja
