Rafa, Roger and Novak has another levels to their games. Pat McEnroe poured cement on Rafa tennis shoes early in the first set and began nailing the coffin in the third. Thank goodness he overcame his bias analysis.

I hope sometime soon they do away with the losing player having to be present during trophy ceremonies. Sometimes they are great and other times they are awkward. I would make it voluntary where players can declare beforehand whether they want to participate in the trophy ceremony. I don’t get any joy in watching the losing player have to sit through the ceremony.

As much as I agree that it seems cruel, they are never going to do away with it. Tennis has its tropes. One is that you do it on your own and another is that you suck it up in public when you lose a final.

And you don’t take too much attention away from the Winner.

This Australian open is a win for science and vaccines and a loss for healing water from energy pyramids.

I don’t watch trophy ceremonies anymore because I don’t enjoy watching them at all even for my favorites I don’t watch them anymore because it comes off as awkward watching the runner-up there most of the time looking like they want to be anywhere but there.

I objected to that when Roger was so upset at losing the AO in '09. So much attention was on him to tie Pete with 14 Majors, and I felt it did take away from Rafa, at the time. But I've always been so proud of the way Rafa handled it, that I got over it. Other than that, I don't think it takes away from the winner. I generally think that the runners up are gracious, and it's character-building, if that's not too harsh.

With this win, Rafael Nadal has now won at least 1 slam title in 15 different seasons which is a Men's record. The two guys behind him: Federer and Djokovic are at 11 different seasons.

I still can't believe it, wow.

10 years ago, in 2012, he was up a break in the 5th set at 4-2, 30-15 and he lost the match.

5 years ago, in 2017, he was up a break in the 5th set at 3-2 at 30-all and he lost the match. He was trailing by 4 slams to Federer (14 > 18) after this match.

Then, today, in 2022, he was down two sets to love and was serving 0-40 at 2-3 in the 3rd set. Next, he was serving for the championship at 5-4 30-0 in the 5th set and he got broken. Finally, he broke back and serve for the championship at love...unbelievable, man!

Now, he now has the Men's Grand Slam titles record at 21 Slams over against rivals, Federer and Djokovic.

By the way, he is 35.5 years old! Unbelievable, man! I still can't believe it!

Pat McEnroe said at down 2 sets to love 2-3 love -40 "THIS is all but Over"...,I definitely don't enjoy his Rafa bias.
