More news regarding the split of Djokovic and Vajda split,
Apparently Djokovic and Vajda have agreed to a mutual split after the ATP Finals in Turin.Nothing to do with everything that has been going on since the start of 2022.

That's not true and the person on twitter posting this has zero connections... Also either way Djokovic for sure won't tell the public/media that the Vajda split was because of the start of 2022 and his vaccine stance ruining his career... Clearly in the beginning of 2022 Vajda was still part of Djokovic's team otherwise why announce it only now? lol

@Fiero425 Join us Nadal fans it's not too late... Nadal is not only a great tennis player but also stays away from the drama, doesn't break any rackets, etc. You will enjoy being part of the Nadal team I promise you. :smooch: :rose:

I agree it is strange to post this news now? though the journalist that posted the news the split is a trust worthy journalist from Serbia.I actually follow him on Twitter,I would not post it here if I did not feel it was 100% true. His name is Sasa Ozmo,he was the first journalist to post the news of the split and other tennis journalists followed btw.

Didn't someone (journalist who wrote his biography) from Serbia say a month ago that he has inside information that Djokovic was going to get vaccinated? I don't trust these unofficial rumours... But either way like I said, Djokovic will probably not admit the real reason and timing of the split...

One thing is for sure, this can't be good for Djokovic. I think Djokovic's vaccine stance ruining his career as well as the added salt of Nadal winning #21 at the AO is too much for Vajda to deal with... He has worked hard for 15 years to try and make Djokovic the GOAT and it's all falling apart because of Djokovic being completely clueless when it comes to science...

I only follow tennis journalist's on Twitter that actually attend tennis tournaments around the world, I dismiss 'rumors'...this tennis journalist has always posted correct information on Djokovic for a long time. You are entittled to your own opinion on Novak and the reason of his split. As I posted this is not the first time of their split, due to Marian wanting to spend time at home with his sick wife,I got that information from the same journalist that posted the current news of why this split has happened for the second time btw.

Ok but the question remains if the split was decided last year in Turin then why announce it only now? It doesn't make sense and to me it shows that the recent drama around Djokovic with his vaccine stance ruining his 2022 definitely played a factor... Otherwise they would have announced the split a while ago.

Yes I have to agree with you announcing the news now in March seems strange, other tennis journalist's stated the same.Anyway I will post any more updated news if there is any to report on the split.I would imagine that Vajda is well aware, like the rest of Novak's team his views on vaccination.,personally speaking I do not think that would have been a reason for the split.

The International governing bodies of tennis stand united in our condemnation of Russia's actions and,as a result, are in agreement with the following decisions and actions.

1. The ATP and WTA boards have made the decision to suspend the ATP/WTA combined event, scheduled this October in Moscow.
2. The ITF board has made the decision to suspend the Russian Tennis Federation and Belarus Tennis Federation membership and to withdraw their entries from all ITF international team competition until further notice. This action follow the cancellation of all ITF tournaments in Russian and Belarus indefinitely.
3.At this time, players from Russia and Belarus will continue to be allowed to compete in international tennis events on the tour and Grand Slams. However, they will not compete under the name or flag of Russia or Belarus until further notice.

I’ve always had the impression that Vajda who was hired in 2006 was a head coach whose authority was clearly limited from the getgo with Team Novak. No Uncle Toni dynamics going on. When Boris Becker joined the team in 2013 Vajda himself said Boris was the new head coach. And of course there was the infamous Agassi/Djokovic pairing in 2017/18.

So going forward I’m assuming Goran Ivanisevic will assume that mantle of head coach, or maybe already was?

Regardless Vajda is going down as one of the most successful tennis coaches ever.

Murray's results aren't going to change until he changes his way of playing the game! Just waiting for UFE's ain't gonna do it! He'll continue to be overpowered and run around like a chicken with his head cut off looking absolutely ridiculous doing it! :fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth::face-with-tears-of-joy::lol6:

Well it has yet to be confirmed that Marian will coach Novak, actually this news came from a respected tennis journalist,I kind of fell of my chair when he posted it...Murray as you know is 'coachless', and said he wants to go to IW amd Miami with a coach. We gonna see no?:)

I can’t help but wonder if Vajda was appalled by the Australian heist fiasco his player attempted in January? I always think Marian as a great tennis man, with strong principles. Anyway, the timing of the announcement could be considered discreet from that perspective. Very unlikely that the Turin story is true…

Maybe it is 'saving face and grace' when that was posted by a Serbian journalist, who has always had correct info on Novak.
The part I find strange why post it in March? not at the end of the year? if it is 100% true.

They’re burning like crazy! I’ve been busy but following. Now and again had to address a few common errors on social media, but I think that’s all in hand now. :lol6:

One very common error among Djokolytes lately - and they’ve been getting everything wrong but this is their fallback - is that maybe we shouldn’t forget to jab an asterisk beside this years Australian Open, to acknowledge what would have happened. I think Novak slightly fell into this error when he complimented Rafa recently.

Novak has missed 2 slams since he turned professional, and they all want the record to reflect this. Rafa has missed NINE since he won his first, and yet no asterisk? Even though Rafa wins them at a rate of one out of every three entered?

Let me pause for some lunch. :popcorn

But apart from the sunburned ears I’ve been well

That’s why I don’t believe the Turin story. They’re too late announcing it, for that to be true. Marian and Goran split duties for the slams, and Goran takes the shift in Australia and Wimbledon. So there would have been no big deal if they’d announced this in December…

Agree...we will see if any more information turns up,this is the 2nd time they have parted ways, though the first time it was because of Marian's wife not being well,he didnt want to be on the tour year long which was understandable.

Milos Raonic who has played just one competitive match since Miami last year (Atlanta in July) will not be playing IW or Miami this month.

Stan Wawrinka who hasnt played on tour for nearly a year is targeting Monte Carlo for his comeback in April ( just after his 37th birthday).
