Two Spanish players winning Acapulco, one in doubles and the other one in singles
Another amazing stat...
Barcy is his best chance for another 500 level championship .Here's a crazy fun fact: Nadal is one ATP 500 title behind Federer for most ATP 500 titles in Men's history AND he is one Masters 1000 title behind Djokovic for most Masters 1000 titles in Men's history.
So, if Nadal can somehow wins 1 more ATP 500 title and 1 more Masters 1000 title, he will have the most Slam titles in Men's history, and at least share the record with the most ATP 500 and Masters 1000 titles in Men's history!
Crazy to think about!
Isnt Barcelona, where he's won 12 times his next ATP 500?Barcy is his best chance for another 500 level championship .
YepIsnt Barcelona, where he's won 12 times his next ATP 500?
Cameron Norrie is the defending champion of Indian Wells of 2021.Can you believe I passed out late in 2nf set due to exhausted from getting up too early watching IGA and the hair dude win in the desert plus working out like Front in the gym .I'm watching Rafa's title match now. Norrie really is a good player. Norrie has to be on everyone's radar now.
He has improved A LOT since I saw him play against Nadal in the 2021 Australian Open. He is a lot more aggressive on his shots and he is definitely more consistent on the groundstrokes.Cameron Norrie is the defending champion of Indian Wells of 2021.
Surprising news! And Djokovic just won 3 slams a year ago too!Big change in Novak Djokovic's team as he splits with long time coach Marian Vajda, but the rest of his team remains the same
( no official reason at present as why the 2 parted as Vajda was one of the most successful coaches on the tour, btw I have met him personally and he is a really great guy).
Remember this is not the first time they have split? though agree it is still suprisingSurprising news! And Djokovic just won 3 slams a year ago too!
It’s interesting that they split after Djokovic goes into a long slam streak.Remember this is not the first time they have split? though agree it is still suprising
Agree, maybe we will get a insight why the split has happened this time.I understood the reason why Marian left last time was his wife was not well,he decided he didnt want to be away from his wife for long periods of time, which was totally understandable. It’s interesting that they split after Djokovic goes into a long slam streak.
Marian was like a father figure to Novak,he was a calming influence both on and off the court. Now that Novak is restricted to playing tournaments at present, due to his not wanting vaccination,it will be interesting to see how he performs in his next tournament.,also his lack of 'match practice' could be a telling factor this year, though I feel some countries will relax their stance on vaccinations, see ing Europe will be heading into their Spring.Summer.I wonder how this split will affect Djokovic. Marian is probably the calm that Djokovic needs of the court.
