Djoker should go full out, not like today's game - points seem like slow-motion. Did someone notice his left eye ?

p.S. One is for sure, he must make Berrettini to run on both sides. To move 96 kg is a lot for muscles.

Thiem and Rafa not being in the draw has really made it too easy for Novak..my suggestion is for Matteo's team to watch a lot of Stan/Dominic vs Novak matches. Novak's BH will find Matteo's BH and break it down. That's what the world's number one does.

Hubie was directing traffic to Matteo's bh through his fhand in the other s/final.

I'm not so sure this will be a piece of cake for Djokovic. The last 2 sets of their RG match were pretty damn tough and Berretini is far better on grass than he is on clay.

While this won't be easy for Novak (as Front says above), I have no doubt that Novak will win this. He is determined and will not let #20 go by and not when a non-big-three opponent is on the other side.

Having said that, Novak did not play good at all today. He needs to raise his game and bring his A game. But, I do think he will bring his A game on sunday.
I guess Novak kind of felt entitled today and did not play that seriously. I would not get fooled by that.

But, I have learnt to respect Matteo's serve, forehand and comfortability with grass and so would give him a set. But, it would be because Matteo won that set and not because Novak had a mental walkabout (Novak would not do walkabouts in GS final). Novak in Four.

Are you saying Rafa whom has been in 6 finals and probably 8-9 semi finals on grass during the Federer era is not a serious contender?

Are you saying Rafa who was beaten by multiple players ranked outside 100 @Wimbledon would have got out of first week on the slippery grass this year?

You don't know that for a certainty...Can you please let us all know Rafa's past two years at SW19

Given Nadal's state of mind after RG and the lack of a big enough break afterwards and no grass practice as a result, he said himself he wasn't ready and Thiem has been shite now for about a year. They may have been a factor if not for that but in their present state they'd have made little impact most likely.

The bookies are giving Novak 80% chance and Matteo 20% chance (that is twice what they gave Shapo).

Either player would not be a factor at Wimbledon this year, even if they were healthy.

He's had eye infections before so maybe that. Doesn't seem to matter much to his results and his eyes always bulge from the combination of contact lenses and special sauce.

There is an argument that Novak could be stressed by the pressure, which was why he was so less-than today. And he hasn't always handled it well. One could have said that he wouldn't let the 2015 FO go by, and yet he did. I agree that he will amp his level for the final, or try to, and he was able to save his emotional energy today, since Shapo only pressured him somewhat.

Berrettini has to serve as well as he did today, if not better, because more of those serves will come back. He has to get on top of Novak and take advantage of Novak's pressure on himself. It was somewhat evident today.

Novak did not lose 2015 RG due to his inability to handle pressure. He was simply blown off the court.

There is a small chance of that happening tomorrow as well considering Matteo has a big serve and forehand (and unlike Shapo plays the big points better).
In fact, I see getting blown off the court is the only way Novak will lose, if at all he loses. Novak is not going to lose in a cat and mouse game due to feeling jittery.
