Rublev is playing too many tournaments.Mannarino knocked off Rublev in Kremlin Cup.
Reminds me of another Russian that couldn't leave tour a week or 2 to rest if he could help it running himself into the ground before his time; Nikolay Davydenko! He looked older than a grandpa before 30 playing week in and week out, getting to #4 and taking a YEC if memory serves! He pushed the Big 4, but success was fleeting! He was an enigma, wrapped in a conundrum! He may have also been investigated for match fixing when gambling was more rampant in the sport!Rublev is playing too many tournaments.
Kafeknikov was like that too, playing too much. People said it was because he was afraid of running out of money…Reminds me of another Russian that couldn't leave tour a week or 2 to rest if he could help it runing himself into the ground before his time; Nikolay Davydenko! Look at at the 3 minutes 46 seconds, it was really funny
Jannik will move to No 11 in the ranking after his latest final won.I don't know if anyone saw Sinner win his final today over Schwartzman, but he is coming along really fine as the Next Best Thing. His serve is getting better and he's moving forward better. At this rate, he is kind of scary. Also, Karatsev beat Cilic in straights for the title in Moscow.
He's also within a hair's breath of making the cut for the YEC. I think he will.Jannij will move to No 11 in the ranking after his latest final won.
According to the health minister for Victoria that is incorrect as they are still working out details,if that can happen.As I live in Australia I will keep the site posted if it comes to fruition.It came from a leaked letter from the WTA.If that does happen,all unvaccinated players will have to quarantine for 2 weeks and live in a 'bubble' like in 2021 and will not have the same benefits for vaccinated players.Unvaccinated players can play the Australian Open, with a 2 week quarantine;

People living in Melbourne have been the most 'lock down city' in the world.They are just coming out of a severe lock down with restrictions still in place.Melbourne is the 'sports capitol' of Australia btw and the people there live for their sport.All spectators will have to be double vaccinated to watch sport from now on,with limited capacity in stands.I think the main questions is....if I have to be double vaccinated to watch a sport live? then why doesn't a athlete have to be? which is a fair question,.Dan Andrews the premier of Victoria has already mandated that all professional athletes playing in Melbourne will have to be double vaccinated to play.People are saying this is a 'double standard' and it is not consistent with the current rules.I wonder if this happens, how different a restriction it is for people living in Australia? And if it's very different, and much more liberal, would it be popular, because it means all the players can play? Or would it cause people to be angry with their authorities, that the tennis stars are getting special treatment?
Absolutely. I’d be furious, much as I love my tennis, being locked down like that, and then players waltzing in to play the tourney…People living in Melbourne have been the most 'lock down city' in the world.They are just coming out of a severe lock down with restrictions still in place.Melbourne is the 'sports capitol' of Australia btw and the people there live for their sport.All spectators will have to be double vaccinated to watch sport from now on,with limited capacity in stands.I think the main questions is....if I have to be double vaccinated to watch a sport live? then why doesn't a athlete have to be? which is a fair question,.Dan Andrews the premier of Victoria has already mandated that all professional athletes playing in Melbourne will have to be double vaccinated to play.People are saying this is a 'double standard' and it is not consistent with the current rules.
I don't know much about him. I was surprised to see him play main draw and knew immediately it has to be a WC. He has very stable ranking around 250th in the world. Most of the croatians are handsome, didn't you know that? Excluding Cilic and Karlovic from this conclusion.In St. Petersburg, Seb Korda beat a Croation guy ranked 238 today, called Nino Serdarusic. I'd never seen him at all, but he's got a pretty big serve and a good game. 2 tight sets. Maybe @don_fabio knows of him? (Anyway, as an aside, he's a handsome fella, too.) Elsewhere in Vienna, Murray, Berrettini won their matches, and Alex De Minaur got out of his slump and beat Anderson in straights.

I see Murray is wearing down his opponents with some long matches. I really admire his efforts, he looks good to reach top 20 if he stays healthy and play spoiler in slams, possibly even win some bigger tournament as mentioned on one of these threads.
