Thiem got away there big time with a horrible drop shot...Zverev did not do anything to it.

On the next point, Thiem did a Djokosmash and he is now down 30-40...

Thiem is overthinking and overhitting every single ball right now. The old Thiem is showing right now...

Yeesh! Great point but Zverev has to more aggressive especially on the backhand! Rip it!

Thiem wins the 2nd set 6-4...

As we go in the 3rd set, here are my quick points:

For Zverev: For now, just focus on serving big and efficiently. Every time he serves big and efficiently, Thiem can not do anything about it. In addition, Zverev is just returning Thiem's serve back in play with no problem.

For Thiem: he has to stop overthinking no need to attack the ball like it is the end of the world! Also, he has to serve better and smarter. Zverev is just returning his serve with ease so it puts a lot pressure on Thiem during the baseline rallies.

I would also like to add that I like Zverev's mentality of going forward to the net, but he has to hit better approach shots. Thiem is just hitting passing shots easily...make or miss.

A combination of Thiem's return of serve, defense and Zverev's hesitation to rip the backhand allowed Thiem to get the break. Thiem's best return game of the match.

Zverev's base line game is getting better and better. Thiem needs his serve now, specially considering his forehand errors.

Thiem just too nice. Should have blew off Zverev head as I asked...

Oooh, Thiem missed a big opportunity there to take a 2nd break with a forehand miss to the net.

HUGE hold from Zverev! Let's see if Thiem will continue to be overaggressive on his own service games.

I like to give credit Thiem here for switching on his return of serve by going deep. It allows him to return Zverev's serve on play.

Once again, Thiem is having a hard time holding his own serve...30-40 with a huge serve on the T-side.

Yikes! Thiem with a another drop shot but Zverev did not do anything to it so it is back to deuce.

Zverev with a beautiful forehand return and it is break point for Zverev.

Zverev with great defense to break Thiem's serve...back on serve 3-3 all.

What a turn of events in here, Zverev was a point away from being down 1-4 in the 3rd set and now leads 4-3. That forehand miss from Thiem is super crucial right now...
