I kind of can't believe you gave
@Mile a pass on the notion that vaccines kill more people than disease. This is completely non-science. And that vaccines lead to cancer? Who ever said that? The nonsense that people believe and spread on the internet is incredible. Also, it's not confirmed how the virus entered the human strain. We should keep our eyes and ears open to the science before we draw conclusions. Someone here posted an article that the bat coronovirus was being studied in a lab near the Wuhan market. It could also have come from contamination of studied materials which were poorly disposed of. There is so much we don't know, and time will tell.
But to the point, vaccines save our lives. The flu vaccine doesn't contain every strain every year, but it is a best guess to protect us. Just because people die of flu should not be our reason for not getting the vaccine. It should absolutely be our reason for doing it. Just like social isolating against COVID-19, we take our flu shots to protect those around us. That's why COVID-19 is so much more dangerous than a regular flu: because none of us is immune. The risks in vaccine are low, but the dangers of not vaccinating are high. We'd nearly eliminated measles, via vaccine, but then a few stupid anti-Vaxxers stopped vaccinating their kids, and children started dying from it again. This is stupid.
