Hope so. Still, I do hope this gives those players a bit of pause. They were taking the pandemic a bit too lightly, IMO.

The question is when exactly was Domi tested. Was it after Belgrade? Before or during Nice?

This article in tennis.com says he was tested in France and implies that it was conducted before the start of the tournament. My understanding is that a positive result is more reliable than a negative one, so he'd probably want to get tested again.

Upon his arrival on site,at the Mouratoglou Academy Sports Medicine centre, all the players involved in this tournament were also tested on arrival.

I think Novak Djokovic should make a statement regarding the cancelling of the tournament due to Grigor Dimitrov having a positive result from COVID-19.

Somehow I'm not picturing that happening.

Should ATP impose heavy fine on that expo organisers (==Joker) for serious breach of social distancing rules that already resulted in 2 top players & 2 coaches sick? If that Twitter news has any merit then I would not be surprised if Joker himself turns positive next.

Everyone in attendance including the ball kids should sue Novak's entire tournament promotion team if they get infected. I hope the women are not as careless about this pandemic this week during their tournaments.

The tennis journalist that twitted the information first was Australian Craig Gabriel who is a credited tennis journalist for many years and works on the tour for many years.Cilic and Zverev also been tested with a negative result which I have just read,no word on Novak as yet.In regards to the ATP imposing heavy fines I do not think they have the 'power' to do such a thing? I may be wrong, though it was irresponsible behavior from all concerned, not just the expo organisers, also the players who did breach 'social distancing',hugging each other, hand shakes etc, this is a hard lesson learnt, and a example to all athletes this is a serious pandemic, they must listen to 'health professionals' regarding the protocals involved.Even in Sydney people with some of the restrictions lifted, people are not 'social distancing,I would hate to see a second curve of this virus as a health care professional.

What annoys me about the whole thing is Novak has been very vocal over what he feels were draconian measures by the USO as their planned protocol. It is precisely because of this disregard of social distancing, and quite frankly, common sense that they (the USO) feel they need to be extra cautious.

It gives homeopathic/natural advocates a bad name when Mr. Anti Vaccine Novak doesn't use even frigging normal caution in the middle of a pandemic to stage a tournament with a reckless disregard for people's safety.
