As a 15 year old aren't they only allowed to play so many professional tournaments a year,I did read a great article on this,I must try and find it.Found the article I read the other day from Chris Cleary.

Gauff can play five more pro events before turning 16 next March, although a further merit increase of two tournaments is possible.Participation in Fed Cup,the women's team event would not count against her cap.The WTA introducing these guidelines for junior players also protect them from injury I feel, playing too many pro events during a year.

I had to record the final few games, so I just saw the end. What a match! Saving two MPs — that’s gonna hurt Hercog, but too bad: Gauff earned the win.

Goodness me Twitter is in Melt Down with Coco's win!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW if Coco does not win her next match against Halep she will leave Wimbledon ranked No 139,she started at No 313.

I think she needed to be sent home! It's already starting; the hype, the expectations, now the legend of saving MP's! OMG! :nono:

I think it was her most impressive win so far,she next meets Halep,so we shall see.

Coco has a lot of shots in her arsenal and seems mentally strong...she has great composure for such a young player.Win or lose she has won the hearts of many people who are tired of the blonde ovas.
She has won me over even though she beat my fav Queen Vee,I like that she is unapologetic about her support for the sisters unlike Keys and Scone...
I hope all this will also wake up Townsend and make them the representatives of black tennis..

I kind of miss Pironkova. Does anyone know whether she plans to comeback. Last I heard was that she was having a child and so took a break (and took a break due to injuries before that).

This is true. So you probably won't see her again until the USO, where I'm sure she would like to have direct entry. We'll see how far she goes here.

I don't think she's coming back. She looked quite happy w/ her home life and she's in her 30's now.

Agree..Serena has her singles match tomorrow,I dont think she will do double duty on one day,she will likely play Monday or Harriet Dart gets to play with Murray....from Jon Wertheim.
She has to play doubs tomorrow because the R16 is Mon and the women come back the next day and play QF on Tues. She doesn't want to get behind the rest of the Mixed draw.

That;s what I thought when I looked at the draw, after Jon Wertheim tweeted....maybe she might forgo playing doubles with Murray and let the British player Harriet Dart play instead? Bary plays Harriet tomorrow on centre court.

For sure she'd get a WC, if not direct entry.

My girl Martic working her way in silence winning 3 matches in 3 sets. She is tough and already did way better than some overrated seeds failing without fight and barely winning couple of games. Next up Svitolina and I hope Martic can handle her as well.

And then possible RG rematch with Pliskova. Would like to see that again. Martic has a good chance here, but we shall see, one hurdle at a time. I am positive about all this.

Karolina is my outside chance to win Wimbledon this year, being in the bottom half of the draw, though being 'real' I think the eventual winner will come from the loaded top half of the draw....though I am taking just one day schedule at a time,of course I would love to see my Aussie Ash Barty complete the Channel Slam, which in tennis is very hard to accomplish.
