I hope Schwartzman watched that giant pile of crap that was the other match... it should give him extra motivation, he could easily destroy whoever came out of that shit.
Which match was that?

Seriously? Please illuminate for me.

Giant number of atrocious errors. Giant number of missed opportunities in easy balls. They would either play tight -- very tight, almost embarrassing to watch -- or close their eyes, hit hard and pray that the ball would land in. Berretini's base line strokes are bordeline OK, Monfils' are painful to watch. Ugh.

I guess you watched it. But I think it's a tough assessment. Sometimes I think when players are at a reasonably comparable level, and at a comparable level of stress, due to what they're up against, you get a competitive and entertaining match. You are a harsh critic, but most of us enjoyed watching it. Haters gonna hate, right?

Monfils is tennis’ version of a downhill skier: Not pretty to watch and at any second you’re expecting a spectacular fall, but entertaining none the less.

Schwartzman will be tired very soon if he tries to play long points.

Is bbn it me or Rafael's balls are dropping deeper into the court and his serve looks like it has improved?

Nadal is now missed three break points...hopefully it does not affect him too much in the long run.

This could be an early night for me. This match looks like it is going to be an easy one for Nadal so far. Not a good start at all for Diego and he needed a quick start.

Only one break down now. Still a huge mountain to climb for Schwartzman.

Couple of loose points from Nadal there...and Diego gets one of the breaks back.

If I were Nadal here (at least this set), just focus on being aggressive on your own serve. Diego is definitely a better returner than Cilic that's for sure.
