Roger moving and hitting everything in slow motion.

But why would he be like this, especially with Novak out?

Easy, it added pressure and this is someone who doesn't handle pressure all that great at the moment if we are being honest.

Players also know that Roger doesn't handle pressure well especially near end of sets/matches. Even the lowly are totally in tune with that fact and they know if I just keep the ball in play he will give it away. That's part of the problem.
I do think many players though however get those jitters at the end of the matches or sets and you hear it all the time from the commentators while watching the matches. You would think however a player with the experience like Fed would be beyond that, but I suppose he is not.

The forehand -- which was pretty good until last match -- is completely gone.

The forehand is worse than WTA. I wonder if he'd even beat Serena tonight playing like this.

With every shot that Roger hits, I think it will be a shank.

That’s my thought, too. It’s a little bit of a reminder of the 09 RG, after Rafa lost, and Roger damn near lost to Haas.

That was a lot of pressure on a young player and this is possibly even more on a much older weaker version. He knows "what is up". He wants to go down as amazing he needs this title most likely. I don't care what anyone says, if Nads and/or Djoker get more majors than him he goes way way down in stature. That is what sport is, superior vs. inferior.

Federer gets the gift, but I doubt he will capitalize.

OK, there's the break. Are we off the fainting couch yet?

Everyone in Roger’s box stood up to cheer him on after that break of serve — except Mirka, who sat still, chewing gum.

The one thing that Federer has done well this set is that he serving well. I think he only lost 1 point on his serve...
