In Melbourne Bull beat everyone and had nothing to say in the final. It’s clear that would not be the same in Paris, but a lot more of a fight.

That would have been a hell of a match.

It really would have been. Regardless of outcome it would have been fantastic - much better than this lopsided joke of a match with Thiem returning serves from the tunnel and flailing backhands all over the place.

Again Nadal winning 12 RG titles got to put him on par with Federer the goat list (24-15) 18 just two behind.
On par with someone that wins 60 % of his grand slam titles at RG. You have to be thankful that he has 2 on grass.

Under today’s conditions Novak would have won the semi and we would have the best match on clay that is possible.

It's funny to me that people are STILL - after all these years of being disproven - saying this (it's like witnessing "global warming" advocates cling to their superstition even as their predictions are repeatedly proven wrong). They have been saying this since 2006, as if Nadal is the only player to experience physical strain or injury when playing tennis. Then he wins his 18th Slam in 2019 and the same people are still asking "welp, he's 33 now, can his body hold up?"

Newsflash: Rafael Nadal is NOT the only tennis player who has to move side-to-side in intense rallies and cope with injuries. Other players do too.

Yes Nadal is on par with Federer as goat because it does not matter there you win slams as long win them son.

Sorry it does count that your boy is only dominant on one surface whereas Roger dominated grass, outdoor and indoor hard courts. But if your peasant finishes with more majors then it is a different discussion.
