Nurse did it. They had a 6 pt lead, the momentum and the ball. You have to step on the opponent's throat if you want to win a NBA chip

Well assuming Durant is out the rest of the series I don't think game 6 is a sure thing for GSW and I'd favor Toronto in a game 7. Having him in just a quarter should put to rest the GSW fans who think the team is anywhere near as good without him. That said, this was a choke and if it lingers at all then game 6 could be a blowout for GSW. Toronto is veteran though so I don't expect them to wet the bed.

I guess he wanted to calm things down and come up with a set play as opposed to adrenaline taking over.
Murat, you call TO when the team doesn't know what to do. After not doing anything for 3.5 quarters, Kawhi (your superstar) was actually making plays. Why would you want to stop that flow?

Kind of weird but Curry is the Finals MVP by default if GSW wins just because Klay missed a game. For Toronto it is obviously Kawhi though he picked a poor time to have his worst game of the playoffs.

You think GSW is going to lose 3 home games to Raps? :nono: I doubt it. They get 2 days rest. Next game is not until Thurs. They will come out firing. Raps have to shoot better if they want to close it out on the road.

Nah but it's clear that they are up against it without Durant. KD in there spotted them a double digit lead that they almost squandered. The only competitive games of the series are the ones Golden State won. So if no KD in game 6 it's not a foregone conclusion.

Almost! They did squander it. They lost it and then went down 6 pts. They were gassed and got bailed out because Nurse called TO.

What an opportunity missed for Raptors. Just watched the highlights as this game is usually around 3am European time. Klay did a couple of cold blooded steady hand 3pts at the end of the game. Raptors should've pushed more when they had a decent lead 3 and half mins before the end.

GSW without Durant in next one is again huge blow for them, but I feel like they have a slight mental edge for the home game given how the Raptors lost this one.

Where is @Federberg ? I thought he loved bball.
I had to record it. It started at 2am my time. That was a major brain fart from Nick Nurse with that momentum killing time out. I refuse to believe the Dubs can lose 3 straight at home. Surely not! Raptors should still win it all though. The gods want them to

so I guess KD out for a season with this achilles. Anyone think he still leaves? No doubt the Dubs still give him the loot if he wants it. They can take their chances for a season with just the splash bros

Zero chance he stays in Golden State. Sad news though, obviously the calf injury was way worse than thought/reported. The team had no incentive to take KD's health into consideration but KD had to OK it too...he should've known his body and therefore the risks. He will still get a max somewhere this offseason, it's Durant.

No wonder the GM was boohooing all over the media room last night. He just lost his best player. I agree. No chance KD stays at GSW.

Well zero chance before and now zero chance after. The zero chance before is the reason they "cleared" him

That's interesting. Can you walk me through why you say it's zero chance? I don't disagree, just curious to hear your take

The guy is crazy sensitive especially in regards to his legacy and he feels under appreciated. I think he is clearly a better player than Curry but it will always be the latter'a franchise.

I think he was gone before the injury, and if the worry is about him getting a max...I highly doubt this injury affects that. Also, who knows if the team was pushing really hard for him to play and he didn't want to. I'm guessing it was completely mutual. He shouldn't have been cleared, I could tell you that before last night but obviously he was going to play down 3-1. That quarter may have saved the title for them.
