Is John Mac a Djokovic fan or a Nadal fan?

Grass is his best surface. Did you see him play Roger in Halle?
They're still whining about this, but I looked it up...RBA's highest career win percentage is on grass.

To quote myself, when it comes to surface speed, nobody has any idea what the fuck they're talking about.

Everyone, even the pros, give very contradicting views on surface speed, often at the same tournament. The one thing that seems consistent from what I've heard pros, including Nadal and Federer say, is that the balls are always heavier at Wimbledon. Nadal actually gave a very interesting answer about the speed of the grass at Wimbledon after his match with Tsonga. I'll transcribe it in a while.

On Saturday, Chris Evert talked about how low the balls were staying this year, while calling a match on Court 1, and the next match after it, someone like JMac talked about how high they were bouncing...same court. So there's that.

I don't think so. You're thinking about Aus
I stand corrected. AO 3, W 2, USO 2, RG 0 as of now.

But, starting from tomorrow, all singles matches are in cc and no 1 and so rain cannot delay matches.

But the men and women don't use the same balls do they?

Right. USO has 2 now. I saw it when I went last year on the new Armstrong

Usually that's true, good point.

EDIT: Though I found this, which says that Wimbledon uses the same balls for women's and men's matches.

Surface and balls are what form "playing conditions". The surface has probably remained unchanged since 2001 but they have clearly gone to heavier balls over time which has only slowed down the conditions more. When I talk "surface" I am talking playing conditions. They are slow there, when you hear someone like Roger say he thinks this has more long rallies than the USO that really says it all. And yes we see more and more clay guys perform well on grass. The amount of breaks in this tournament is nuts.
