And so Marcos Baghdatis goes off quietly into that good night. A long time coming. A long time since his best results. But he's given so much to this sport. Like so many, thwarted by Federer at the final asking point at the AO in 2006. Semifinal here in 2006 as well. Really has had a fantastic career. Of course still in the doubles I think.

Berrettini happy to cede this time to Marcos. Good on him.

Baghdatis giving away like his entire bag. What a guy.

Location
Pittsburgh, PA
Murray/Herbert & Humbert/Copil playing doubles on Court 1.

(A Herbert/Humbert pairing would be two letters away from a funny Lolita reference.)

It will be interesting to see if Nadal can pressure Kyrgios' serve now that he has 2-1 sets lead. Kyrgios is still in this match because of his amazing serve and Nadal still can get tight even with a lead especially towards the end of a set.

Alright. I'm not crying. You're crying. Such a fan favorite. Huge personality.

Now.

Back to Kyrgios/Nadal.

Sad that this is people's ideas of a court that bounces low. It's sitting up like crazy.

Very pleasant to watch play the game, very lazy effortless style. A bit like F3.

Well that may be part of what everyone has been talking about how this has been the slowest they can remember courts being here.

I get you but I think it is a bit lower than, say, last three or four years. This year I am seeing players struggle to bounce the ball before serve.

It looks like it will be another tiebreaker set unless either Nadal or Kyrgios loses focus on his service game.

Nick hitting a lot of flatter shots with no pace and making Rafa get low. Good strategy, make him work those knees.
