I've been hearing for all too many years that Nadal won't last long. It gave me some comfort for awhile thinking he wouldn't be playing. And yet here we are.
Yep, I understand you.....

Amazing stuff. I'd put a lot of money on prime Roddick and Philippoussis easily showing Nadal the door on grass. People remember Roddick's last years on tour only because they have short memories but prime Roddick on grass was a beast. Nadal and Djokovic have had no competition for years now ffs and a lot worse than Roddick and Philippoussis on grass, plus it's barely even grass at all compared to when Roddick and Philippoussis were in their primes.

FACT: For anyone (even Federer), beating players who serve a ton of aces on grass is difficult and Nadal's had even more trouble against big servers on grass than Federer so the chances of him beating those 2 in their primes on grass given how good their serves were is pretty low. Good attempt at trying to diminish Federer's achievements but big fail as always. And just 'cos you're quoting Sampras doesn't make it gospel either. He himself would have had a lot of trouble with prime Roddick and Philippoussis.

you just don't get it..Rafa and Novak are tennis ball strikers..I would say that Novak is in the Agassi ball strikers' level.. just like Roddick vs Fed in their last Wimbledon final, the better defender will prevail just as Roger did Everytime vs a serveBot like mark p or Andy. Rafael's best game defense would break those guys down.

A consumer group from Suitzerland have issued a legal claim against Federer for hidden advertising in Instagram. You (his fans) should try to find more about it.....

And Sampras lost to Federer in 5 sets on fast grass.

Sampras was about "done" by then! It was a wonder he even got to the 4th Round to play Federer! The next year he was upset in the 2nd Round by some LL guy's only claim to fame is beating Pete; G Bastl! Sampras had to come back from 0-2 deficit just to push a 5th set he lost to this Swiss nobody! Maybe it was turning into a trend after Roger eliminated him in 2001! Sampras went over 2 years without a tour victory from Wimbledon 2000 to his finale win at the USO in 2002!  :rip: :ptennis:

True. He was almost done, and Roger was 19 then.

It it kinda funny how no one makes much mention of that. It's very odd, and it is considered a symptom. @Front242?

Juan Del Potro posted on Twitter today.

'After spending very tough days,I'm already in my place, resting with my family and friends.Thank you for all the support'.

Del Potro on crutches, though with a smile on his face.

I just don't understand! People are acting as if Del Po has 6 months to live! He can't play tennis! He's alive, is quite popular/famous in his country as well as the world, and doesn't need the $$! Some players are more brittle than others; Haas can commiserate!

I get your not a fan of Del Potro, though other people are, also are interested in his wellbeing after surgery.I am not a fan of many ATP players and also WTA players,if there is a post about them,I dont bother to look or reply.I suggest you do the same if you see a post on Del Potro.BTW I was also a big fan of Haas.

Why are you posting this in the news section? You realize this thread is meant for actual news as in new and this happened years ago. As to what happened, it could be anything. Low blood sugar or a vitamin deficiency eg b12 causing dizziness, an ear infection causing imbalance, a virus (I had a virus less than a year ago and it made my balance wonky for 2 weeks). Loads of conditions can cause balance issues. He was hardly drunk.
