4/14 BPs for Fed.

5-2. Serving for the match.

In other news, Belgium have scored. Disgusting.

And yet he's not had a break point against him. Not bad..

Yeah hopefully he would've served better if he needed it. This guy went for his shots, worked in big moments on his serve but not on the return. Easy first few rounds, can't ask for more.

Yup. Very clean so far. Mannarino is no gimme. Hopefully the 5 setter has worn him out a bit

Mannarino is annoying and someone you don't want to see on an erratic day. If Fed is dialed in it's a massacre, otherwise the guy can hang around and take advantage of drops in play.

Exactly. In a way he's the perfect opponent to get Roger ready for the tougher matches ahead. But I don't really want a tough test. Would be quite happy with another series of easy contests and 21 :D

Great Job by Fed. Winning in straight sets and not even letting any set go to TB. Struff certainly proved he is a worthy opponent.

I believe Mannarino will be an easier opponent for Fed than Struff. Fed is 5-0 against Mannarino even though some matches have been close. Mannarino is a flashy player and the match will be good one to watch though.

Raonic wins the first set in a TB. I doubt that Raonic will get the job done today itself.

No. They put them on too late. Why didn't they start earlier? They should have moved their match to an outside court

First time in long time we have more U.S. men still in the tourney than U.S. women. Serena is left standing on the women's side. Tiafoe, Isznah and a couple of others still around no?

You rooting for royalty to go out to your doll? Shame KS. This tourney is everything with the threat of the pleb and his draw on the garbage grass.

There is a reason for it. There is now more depth among the American men, they will surpass in number the Spanish and French as far as headcount in the top 100, after Wimbledon, with McDonald joining them:
USA 11 players
Spain 10
France 10

Oh settle down, I'm joking as well and I wasn't sure if you actually do root for the ones you like to look at. That's what I do for the WTA.

Have you checked out Alex De Minaur. He is exactly the type of player whom Rafa would hate to play. Alex is out and out aggressive player. He may cause an upset. Alex's serve is not big, but decent. But, he has aggression in every bone. He does not come in on every ball like Mischa, but he has decent net play. More later on him in the upset thread.

His primary weakness is backhand, even though he plays two handed BH. If Rafa can recognize it and keep pounding his backhand, Rafa will win it though.

Haven't seen him play at all, but this doesn't sound like good news. Oh well.
