Not going to look too far ahead but yes I'd rather Fed plays KA in the QF than Monfils. If Monfils makes the QF beating two decent grass court players with big serves that is really telling. Stars are kind of aligning for Rafa or Nole at this event with this trash they call "grass"

pray to God

Please don't say it again. And please don't say "if this were real grass...." I think everyone is clear where you stand. And it's not on the grass. :p

Too late, I already said it :D

What happened to Taylor? I did not see the continuation. He managed just 3 games with that beautiful serve.

If you saw it, can you give me a digest.

Rafa isn't getting to the semi finals. You've been here for the past 6 years, you know how this film goes...

It's about time that Monfils plays well, he has the game but is losing his head very easy. And the draw continues changing........

When a reported told Fed that he is lucky that Karlovic lost, Fed replied saying that he actually thinks Struff provides him more match-up issues than Karlovic. I believe he is being honest.

While Fed will win today's match, I don't expect it to be as easy as the first two matches. There will at least be one TB, bare minimum.

Did you know that the tradition of eating strawberries & cream while watching tennis harks back to English King Henry VIII's time when Wolsey, his cardinal at the time got Hampton Court built with tennis courts in & they served strawberries & cream to guests (spectators) while the match was being played & the association between tennis & strawberries & cream has gone on since?

Medvedev , Mannarino gonna go the distance. Medvedev is a tough russian, a real fighter. Fed will have his hands full if he gets through.

It played out how I told you would last night. His rhythm and momentum was completely broken and he didn't serve well. Sascha stood on the baseline and drilled all his shots deep in the court.

Interesting. Who do you think can stop Rafa?

Fognini in the 4th round seems like the obvious threat right now. His QF should he make it there will be tough if it's DP or Ebden and the semis will be brutal (Zverev, Kyrgios or Djokovic). But more than that, it's about the way he's playing. Luckily there's still time to improve but the clock is ticking. This isn't a slam where he can afford to play himself into form since he's usually out of the tournament over the past 5 years or so before he finds said form. Plus, while it's fair to ask who can stop him, I think we can all agree the list of no-names (or then-no names) to stop him since 2012 isn't exactly stellar.

Federer was imperial to get the first break of serve.

Thanks I wasn't really aware who he had in his draw. Still if he's able to somehow get through in these conditions which seem to be playing faster it'll be a finger in the eye of all those who impugn his grass credentials

Different year, different draw. With this draw last year he probably would have made the QF at least.
