I had an uneasy feeling about the USA Open because of their history of shady behavior and the umpire has a history with Venus too.I think they are instructed by the Tournament Director to behave like this..this same TD was there during the KIM clijsters situation.I think Serena was already tense and nervous..
aw don't make crappy excuses for her behaviour. She lost her head yet again, and that's not to take anything away from the young lass from Japan.

And teh winner is OSAKA -in a big drama

fabulous stuff. I picked young Naomi to win in straight sets but alas could not get up to watch the start of the match as 6am in Oz but did see the last game. Hey howcome the crowds booed the USTA chief ?

What a horrible display from Serena - tarnishing what could be Osaka’s first Slam.

Exactly. Such a terrible behaviour from such an accomplished player. The umpire may have over reacted but she was very rude too & she doesn’t let it go. I can’t imagine Roger or Rafa calling the umpire a thief. It should have been about Naomi but it’s all about Serena now.

i get it, she acted up in the U S final, bit like 2011 where she lost to Stosur.

I'm not surprised. Serena has long record of rude behaviours towards ump and even an abuse of a lineswowan in her loos to Kim on the same stadium. What a shame that such an accomplished and curently the best player has such a terrible behavioural record. Like Nick in men's game or even worse because Nick is growing up and improving, while she is succumbing to her tantrums more and more. And here, she lost a perfect opportunitity to make history if she concentrared on tennis rather than on her silly emotions, but she chose otherwise and her tennis went to trash like never before. What a pity/.

She really wanted this win so desparately being a mother maybe the thing what caused her to loose her mind.

Well whatever you say - the umpire did his job correct - Serenas coach admitted coaching afterwards, she smashed her racket and called the umpire a thief, when she lost her second game in second set and then lost a game to Osake without playing it. She - Serena -has to get hold on her temper - no excuse for that. Let's celebrate a nice winner who played cool calm and collected most of the match. Here is the winner:

How easy we forget. This is not the first time Serena has had a melt down at the USO. Two words or suggestions you never utter to an umpire in any sport. The F word and
any remark of possible impropriety or act by an umpire. The word thief was the kiss of death in this case.
Williams would not shutup. All three violations were just that violations. Serena Williams is an elitist with an elitist attitude. The announcers spent two weeks making Williams a deity. In all honesty she got her behind handed to her and that my friends is
what she was really upset about. Serena earned the violations. The last time she was ejected from the match. How soon we forget. She is a typical arrogant athlete who feels the rules do not apply to her. She got hammered boy and girls. Thus, nothing to see and it is about time.
