All it took was one rain delay for Nadal and Tyrion to remember who they are. What a shame.

I didn't see the last parts of the second or the third today but Diego is actually playing decent. Nadal is just otherworldly with that damn sun.

I have the same problem. I win little bits of things in raffles, etc. (I once won a chain saw!) But the lottery...never.
I won £81 on the European lottery once but that's the most I've ever won.

I think it is kind of funny that monfed thinks I'm a Rafa fan.
I think it's kinda funny that he thinks everyone's dull who doesn't agree with everything he says.

Now all I need is for the rain to show up when Rafa is stinking up the joint in his next two matches. Or he can clean up his act already. He played better today, but he couldn't have played worse anyway. The backhand is still really shaky but the forehand looked good. I've given up on his serving as far as the clay season is confirmed, and this will be a huge problem no matter who he ends up playing.

At least you guys have a reason to pay attention now, because no matter who he plays next, he has to step it up. And for all the complaints about the draw, I think Del Potro/Cilic (DP is up as of writing this), especially the former, is actually a much more difficult opponent (on paper, match-up wise) than a lot of the names being thrown around, and yes, more difficult for Rafa than Zverev on this surface.

The bit I saw today there is no prayer for anyone left. When his forehand is like that he doesn't need much else on a sunny day

One day you will learn and believe that Rafa is of Kyptonian heritage. I told you what happens under the Earth’s Sun.

Well, it's going to go back to heavy weather after this so Rafa better not wake up feeling uncertain anymore. Kudos to Schwartzman for his game and his fight.

I'm very sorry for interrupting but I just had to say that I was going to mention Native American rain dances earlier but didn't want to accidentally offend anyone. I obviously wouldn't have meant it wrong but a lot of people take things the wrong way nowadays. You've got to be careful on what you say & how you say things. There are too many taboo subjects (& I don't mean a certain drink with lemonade, lol.) & it can be hard to have a laugh.
The only thing that offends me in regards to my heritage is that I haven’t figured out how to get compensation from these damn casinos. LOL. Otherwise No worries at All Mate.

I will disagree with that. Diego has no serve to speak off, which allowed Rafa to get out of jail and took the pressure off completely.
I don't think Nadal is playing anywhere close to his best. I mean, if you watch the videos of 2012-2014 and 2017, it is pretty clear. A well playing Djokovic, for instance, could have handled this Nadal.

And while Nadal remains the favorite, unless he raises his level, he could be beaten by Delpo/Thiem. That doesn't seem inconceivable any more which is weird given his record here. This is one of the very few times, Nadal looks vulnerable in Paris. The only other time he looked like this was in 2011 when heading into the French Open, as he had been soundly beaten by Djokovic 4 times that year (including twice on clay) and his confidence was low.

I think he looked much more vulnerable in 2015, which is when Novak finally got him in Paris.

I agree. I was discounting the year 2015 - as he lost and obviously that was his worst year since he was losing to everyone almost everywhere.

In my mind, I was comparing from 2011-2014 and 2017 - when he actually won the title.

Nadal wasn't "vulnerable" in 2015, he was flat out bad. Nobody expected him to win it.
