I wish I saw this much complaint about Cilic in the Wimbledon final...

Also, this is waaaay too early, but I think Roger would love to play this Nadal in the final.

Yes he is capable of a lot better. Clearly we know he's inconsistent and not always the most mentally tough guy out there but there's a reason everyone would at least admit he's dangerous. When he's on or even at a steady level he is better than what we are seeing.
Like the way he played Roger in the Wimbledon final? (Cheap shot, I know, but you're pissing me off. :lulz2: )

I wouldn't normally admit to this, but I think you're right. Oddly I'm more worried about the old man actually getting there

How did Rafa bucket that?

That is cheap. He had a blister after all. Poor lad couldn't see for all the crying. How could he possibly play well there?

Yeah, Cilic is up a break to take this to a fifth against Nadal but he's playing like shit if Fed fans are to be believed. Look, this is stupid, nobody is saying Cilic is playing the match of his life, but that is exactly what Fed fans seem to be asking him to do. He's playing well. Period.

So far, Cilic is not acting like he just got his heart ripped out. Didn't anyone feed him the script?

Excellent shot from Rafa there, though...vamos!

lol give me a break. All of us were saying it was one of if not the most atrocious displays we had seen

I believe I said at the time it was the worst slam final I had ever seen. And bear in mind I was there live at RG 08!

I said "complaining." You know what I'm talking about.

What's going on is obvious. Nadal fans are being dramatic cause it's a close match and Fed fans are mad at Cilic cause he's not winning (yet). Are we really acting like this is constructive, objective analysis?

There's no question about that but I'd think Nadal won't show up so lame for the final. If he showed up like this it'd be quick

Yeah, Cilic sure isn't playing well. Thanks for the expert analysis guys. Look at all those winners that he's poorly hitting.

This is almost starting to worry me. I don't want Roger getting distracted by Rafa flaming out here. If he starts to think the whole thing is wrapped up he could lose to Berd-man...

Trainer called for Nadal. One way or another this is a debacle. Either he's really injured or we'll have to hear about gamesmanship for the next half a decade.

Well show me a fan that complains when their guy is basically getting a walkover from an opponent playing terribly...

As for this match it is a difference of opinion. Cilic isn't some talentless scrub. He's inherently a tough matchup for Nadal on paper and Rafa is not playing well at all as you admit. I'm not saying Cilic is playing like it's Wimbledon final or that he's atrocious but I think you're exaggerating his level a lot.

One thing's for sure. Marin is being given the chance to realise he has female genitalia. It doesn't bode well for him
