One things for sure, if Cilic loses this set his resistance is over...

There was no reason to unload there he was slowing gaining control of the rally. He needed to keep it going and wait for a chance on his forehand

Have to admit Cilic is doing a lot better at net than I figured.

Typical Cilic. He's turned Nadal into a pusher here but it doesn't matter

Cilic gifted him that set point but I'll take it. Rafa needs to fucking step it up in the fourth and put this to bed.

Still wonder how Cilic was able to sell his soul to the devil in 2014. Aside from that he's not really a threat to beat anyone good in a major.

Cilic was just the better player that set. The good news for Nadal, other than actually winning the set, obviously, is this was his C+ game at best. And I know Cilic played very well but many of Nadal's issues weren't a direct result of Cilic's play (with the exception of Cilic's serve out wide which I don't know what Nadal should do about honestly).

Cilic will be kicking himself after that breaker. At least three points left on the table

There really was no reason to miss that forehand. He hit it knowing that Nadal would cover the inside out one so the ball didn't have to be nearly this good.

I give Nadal a lot of grief for his overrated volleys, but that punch volley to set up the overhand that sealed the set was class.

If he's going to mount any type of resistance it has to be in one of the next 2 Rafa service games. I just don't see it though

Cilic played well? Are we watching the same set? Nadal looked terrible, I mean there is nothing on his shots and he is barely returning anything. And Cilic still found a way to make enough errors
