Hopefully they take Toronto's cue and fire the coach of the year. I see too much George Karl in Bud. Incapable of adjustments and just plays his favorites. He loves Bledsoe and I'm guessing he was a factor in giving that scrub a huge contract during the year instead of waiting to see what he'd do in the playoffs. Resigning Middleton would be a mistake too, that guy can't guard a statue and is a barely above average offensive player. Not a max player. Unfortunately I'm not sure they'd be able to go after a big free agent even if they let certain players leave. I'd target Brogdon, Lopez and Hill. And get Giannis a sports psychologist. This was his 4th playoffs and he sucks cock every year in the playoffs. He was what...the 5th best player in the series after Leonard, Lowry, VanVleet and Siakam? Maybe even Hill was better.

That may be required but before that, he needs to work on some basics. Right now, he seems to be only effective when he has the ball in his hands in open court. That can be contained, as Raps showed it many times. The dude does not have an under the basket , back to the basket game. He does not have a pull up mid range jump shot. With his size and quickness, it is almost a sin not to have consistent 15 footer. I think he has a lot of room to improve but from his presser yesterday, I did not get the feeling that he understands that. THAT is where the psychologist may come in handy.

All that's overrated. He didn't have those things when he put up a 31 PER this season. Didn't have those things when he dominated Detroit and Boston easily in limited minutes the last two rounds. He sucked because of the moment. He didn't stay true to himself and his strengths and let the free throw shooting issues affect him too much. All those things you mentioned can help him become a bit tougher to guard but teams will always be happy if he's taking an outside shot or even a 15 footer. Teams will even consider it a win if he's posting up. He's made his living taking advantage of crazy physicality and athleticism with relentless aggression. He got bottled up because the moment was too big. The guy couldn't even rebound or defend in 4th quarter of games. He shouldn't have had those problems, Celts played the exact same defense on him but he still managed to be good. If you watched those games you'd hear the announcers mention "building the wall" all game but the difference was Giannis still played aggressive and found his moments. In this series he was too passive and literally couldn't hit anything except a layup or dunk and he also missed his fair share of those. That had more to do with the moment than getting humiliated by guys either too small or too slow for him.

I'd say the more damning stat for Bucks is that they gave up 100+ points every game of the series. That is not playoff defense. Raps shot like 50% yesterday in a closeout game which is beyond humiliating. They need to look at effort and get rid of the cancers on the team if they are able. Regular season is overrated and they signed a playoff cancer to a big contract based on that (Bledsoe). If they are to finally have a good season next year it will be because these guys don't shrivel up when it matters or they simply add a reliable star. No good team ever loses 4 in a row in the playoffs. That means you should gut the team. Knowing this franchise they will lock up Middleton to a max though the guy plays no defense and is a barely above average shooter. They could consider firing Budenholzer as he was exposed as just a regular season coach. I have to wonder if they even considered at all the possibility of putting Giannis on Leonard. Instead you put a guy with average athleticism and physicality and poor discipline as the primary defender. Special ed coaching for sure

Tony Parker retires after 18 seasons (17 w/ Spurs and one w/ Hornets). He has 4 rings and 6 all-star appearances. :bye:

Wow!! The fireworks have started. Obviously the Lakers will be happy getting AD without having to give up Kuzma, the most promising of their young players. Pelicans will have Zion, the #4 pick, and other decent young talent to build around. The fact Boston didn't make a deal that could at least rival this most likely means they know Kyrie is definitely gone.

I will throw this out there right now. If Lakers get Kawhi I'm not sure I will even watch next season. Him going to other LA team is what I want selfishly. But if not I'd actually prefer he stays on Toronto compared to going to the Lakers.

Any reasonable fan should want Kawhi to stay in Toronto. ESPN and the mainstream media is ridiculous. They lamented the Warriors and now all of a sudden want everyone to join Lebron because it's Lebron and the Lakers. The league was infinitely more interesting with the East being actually good, and star players being spread out over different teams, hence Tonronto winning the title...

Well I want the Bucks to finally do well so I naturally want Kawhi to go back to the West. I know the Clips made the playoffs last year but that wouldn't be a super team with Kawhi unless they add another big FA on top of it.

But of course for the good of the league it'd be nice to see an elite player actually stay with the team he's on especially since they just won the title. And hell, maybe if Kawhi stays in Toronto it'd encourage Giannis to stay in Milwaukee after next year. The other side is that Giannis might not stay if they do nothing next year, and their chances of reaching the finals is a lot higher if Kawhi is gone.

The thing is , that would achieve the desired result by reducing the quality. You should want the Bucks THEMSELVES to get better, by adding certain pieces and cover the weaknesses that were exposed against the Raps. That way, you do good because you got better, not because the opponent got weaker. That would be healthier for the league .

Well all that improving sentiment is nice and all but the only thing that matters for Milwaukee is keeping Giannis happy enough that he will sign the big deal next year. They will be in a weird spot next year if he turns it down. Everyone will think that means he is definitely gone after 2021 but that might not be the case and they could conceivably gamble by not even trading him. And not trading him could lead to obvious catastrophe if he bolts.

That makes next year "everything". And fuck yeah I want it as easy as possible and hopefully Kawhi doesn't go to LAL otherwise the league is a total joke next year and possibly beyond.

Boston is falling apart. A savage move on the Bucks part would be chasing Horford and letting Lopez walk. Lopez was great for Milwaukee last year but Horford is considerably better if we are being honest. But it'd be savage since Lopez did so well and quickly has become a fan favorite here. But sometimes I like savage moves...logic rules over emotion

Dude, look at Raptors. Fired the coach of the year, traded the all star and then traded fan favorite Valenciunas . Savage is not only good, it is necessary. Horford would be a killer addition to the Bucks.
